First Ludum Dare and Third Game Jam Overall

As the title suggests this is my first Ludum Dare. I’m pretty excited to start and I’m already researching certain game mechanics and spriting as well as pouring my creative juice all over the floor and then rubbing my keyboard on the stain to make a game. It would be useful to note that my second game jam was a failure.

My First Working Screenshot.

My apologies for the low quality of the screenshot.

Here are some interesting notes aboot my game.

The game’s name is SubSpace and it takes place in the basement of a crypt. The gameplay involves navigating a maze, well at least at first but then, sometime into the game the player will encounter a device that allows him/her to travel to subspace. After the discovery of this item, the player will navigate through the maze and its inter dimensional counterpart, using both to progress through the maze…….

Lunch Break!!! Here’s My Progress.

After considerable tile work, I think, I might be done with all but the player sprites and the subspace item aaaand sounds/music.

SSSS2

Who knows what the player will find beneath the surface and beneath space time.

Dinnertime Update!

Added a few more features like: lighting, maze stuff.

Round Two: Fight

Hello Everyone,

This is my second ludum dare. This time around, I will be using Unity as the game platform, blender for modeling, paint.net for textures/spriting and sfxr for sounds.

When the Dare Comes, I Will Make it

My intent is the compo. I'm confident in my skills that I'll be able to churn something out. Stay tuned.

Steel Your Will Jammers

With just under a quarter hour remaining, I wish everyone participating a successful jam.

May your games be fun and your experience enjoyable!
