Ludum Dare 48

Deeper-Geddon! - Now with Windows build!

It seems like everyone is adding WebGL versions of their games these days... We started with a web version and just added a Windows build to download.

Now you can build a factory on an asteroid to save earth online and on your own machine.

Both versions are technically the same, but the Windows version has a little smoother graphics rendering.

Done!

We made it! Our second ludum dare game is published and ready to play. Now the question remains, who is going to take out the trash?

Who can beat the highscore

Earlier today I watched arthurds live on Twitch to beat my personal highscore. He even destroyed the current online highscore of 29 with his 40 point run!

Now it's up to you to beat the current best and

Get the highscore.

Thanks for all the support

This was only our second ludum dare and we are amazed by all the positiv feedback we received. And all that with a simple push-your-luck trash stacking game.

Thanks for all the love and let us know if you have a cool web playable game we can try to give something back.

We are currently working on a working version for android and webgl on mobile devices. Giving the nature of our game this was the plan from the start. But game jams have this one little thing called time constraints... The main game play was running on our phones from the start. But the UI and the placement of some items were not working out. And every time we thought we fixed it, something else popped up.

Sooo, long story short, the final jam version isn't really playable on mobile devices. But we are at a point were we have a running version. And with some more testing and polish tomorrow we will release an update / post jam version over the weekend. Maybe we will even experiment with a release to the google play store (which neither of us has ever done before) to get all those pretty ad cents. And DLCs... oh yet! Who wouldn't pay $5 for a DLC containing new ... ahhh ... trash?

But seriously: Play it now on your pc or follow our updates over the weekend to find a new link to a mobile friendly version and apk file.

Thanks for all the love and let us know if you have a cool web playable game we can try to give something back.

Where are the obvious games?

At the beginning of the jam, once the theme was announced I saw this post: delete.png (sadly I cannot find the post anymore so I cannot give credit to the original creator - if you know who created the post and image please let me know)

So obviously we choose a different style game for our entry. This year we stayed much closer to the theme as in the jams before, but that's a different topic.

But now to the real question: Where are all those Stardew Valley clones, that were expected?

That is an honest question. I love those kind of games and I was hoping to play more of them after this jam. Of cause the scope has to be limited to fit in the restraints of a game jam, but so far I found just one game that was similar.

So please, if you made any game in that style, let me know and I will play it!
