New engine?? New beginnings!
I learned a lot of lessons from Januarys Ludlum dare and it directed me to where I should focus on in game dev, this Ludum dare will be about learning Godot, and how it works. along with acquiring a new coding language

I'm currently enjoying what godot has to offer. hopefully i can do more before i go to work today
I'm using some unused assets I made back in July for this one. so call this a prequel to my bon-bon platformer, its about a little gumball guy who is stuck in a giant cake maze! I don't have sprites for him yet but hopefully i will have at least 3 levels done by tomorrow!
Hi there thats me published my game on the site! I could not add anything other than the player controller, however be aware of the spikes! They will send you back to the start.
My goal for this jam was to break into godot and i came out knowing some basic GD script. ill take that. I can't wait to see what you all have made :)
I have the index, and it works fine when i run from the browser. is it how my files are arranged??

Honestly so happy. and with the window being small it actually increases the difficulty. Watch your step folks ;3
Good morning, afternoon or whatever time it is in your world. first of all I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words and support when I uploaded the early unfinished prototype, I'm hoping to work on a patch soon so the game can be longer and a little more challenging.
however here is a little dev log I made about the game and sharing my thoughts on Godot in general. All my Dev logs are under my label "Happy star studios" which is my alt channel for exclusive game development content. I plan to upload a log every Tuesday so go check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WhkX9HTngc
Hello! I will be releasing a patch that includes some quality of life features that will make project distress more alive and challenging, hopefully I will release a new dev log about it next week.
WHATS CHANGING
you will be limited in time, as I said, project distress is a game where it will test your agility, timing and movement within a limited space.
Climing walls will be limited to stamina, extending the theme more, when you press the A or D key your stamina runs out. when released your stamina builds back up, the same with your dash mechanic.
Collectables will also be implimented, along with timer items that will add seconds to your ticking timer.
Ui will be implimented, to provide navigation
