I'm in hopefully!
Already at the point of the jam where I don't know if what I'm making is useful. Off to a great start! Tools: Unity 5.6, Blender, maybe Inkscape, sfxr, sunvox, audacity and maybe even gimp!

So, I thought to myself, what world is smaller than the one inside our bodies?? And the truth is that there are a worlds a lot smaller than that. By my game will feature a leucocyte fighting infection bacteria. Deal with it.
Here's what I've got so far! I'm curious to see how I'm gonna do the rest of it :S https://media.giphy.com/media/xUA7bj4jNkrGL19xzq/giphy.gif
There seems to be a game here! I just need to make it >.> http://gph.to/2owtPta
Here is my generic main menu! I think it captures the style of the whole game quite well :3

He is appropriately called "Bouncer", and while the other guys will try to damage the central organ thingy, he will try (and probably succeed) to make you fall off the platforms. It's a nice way to distract the player from just shooting everything.

It probably is the lack of sleep, but I found this "easter egg" to be extremely funny :P I think I'm gonna keep it in the final version.

I think I got a lot of stuff done (especially considering I'm a one-man team) over the last 24 hours. I think I have earned me a 4-hour sleep! Tomorrow I will finish the rest of the music and make SFX, and then I will expand on the gameplay, maybe with some powerups or even new levels.
Leucos and I bid you goodnight!
I've had a hard time waking up, but I'm here, I finished Leucos music and most sfx (though I can probably get away without making any more). I think that the music falls in the category of "programmer art" but at least it's not silent :P Now I'll work on some more pickups, maybe add another type of enemy and then work on "content". I could probably make it spawn enemies infinitely instead of having ready waves. We'll see, less than 15 hours to go!

The spawners work though and so far I have infinite waves of increasing difficulty!

I finally finished and published "Leucos"! It was as always an exhausting but really rewarding experience! And even though this was my first game jam solo, I am pretty happy with the result!

I know I've been spamming you people a lot about my game, but this is my last post for this Ludum Dare - I promise! So, I'm really satisfied with the results and therefore I would like to thank everybody who game my game a chance! This was my first Ludum Dare and my first time going solo; and I'm very happy with how it turned out!
The results are as follows:

Lately I've been on a never-ending quest to find out what makes a game "fun". So, seeing that I did so well with Leucos really made me believe that I am on the right track. Maybe if the controls were a bit better and the camera was not so suckish, it could be even better! But either way, I'm really happy it turned out as well as it did.
Overall this has been a really great experience. Not just because I had the chance to participate in a jam and make something in 2 days (which I always enjoy), but because I also got to see really clever and innovative games along the way. Whether the game jams are online or in a physical space, I love them because of the people participating and the amount of creativity they bring.
Whether it's going to be a compo or a jam, you'll definitely see me in the next LD! Congratulations to all who participated; regardless of the rating, you put an effort to create something, and that's the most important thing.
See y'all in the next one!
Interesting theme, as long as I can get some cool ideas, I'd love to make something awesome and fun!
