HYPE!
I’m going to use the same setup as before since it worked well and I didn’t learn any new tricks in the meantime-
Game Maker Studio for programming and graphics (yeah it’s going to be pretty crappy)
Audacity for sound effects
Maschine for music
I can only hope that it will go as well as the first one!
Here’s a gif from my LD36 entry 😀

I’m going to sleep and die. This LD was much harder than the first one because of the nature of my game, and all that work for around 5 minutes of gameplay 😀

(See? It’s easy!!!!!! Well for me at least)
More stuff that I want to say:
Thanks for reading!
BLOG POSTING WORKS?
OH MAN 15 MORE HOURS TO GO I'M NOT GONNA MAKE IT

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-hummus
can't speak. must sleep.
I have no idea how to do markdown.

I had tons of more ideas for mechanics, but I should've made more levels that combined them :(
PLAY THE GAME! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-hummus

Or do. I don't care.

Play the game though. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-hummus
People had a hard time understanding the mechanics of the game, and this level didn't explain it well enough so I improved it a bit (hopefully :P)
This is how it used to be:

How it is now:

Feel free to check it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-hummus
So this happened apparently... Don't watch it, try playing yourself! (Web + Windows) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-hummus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIGzPchgnJk
Did you know that? BTW play SPACE HUMMUS. It's in the browser so you don't have to download anything. GIF for those who suffer "text-only-blindness"

My nephews are TMNT fans so I made a special edition of my Ludum Dare game for them. They made the sounds and helped with the intro and ending art :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxDDICo39is
You can play Space Hummus here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-hummus
Thanks to Ludum Dare I made 3 games! It's insane since in the past 10 years I made tons of prototypes but never a finished product.
It's a short and goofy platformer about bringing fire to your family and friends by burning yourself to death and everything on the way.
LD36 didn't have ratings but I got really good feedback on this and I'm really happy with it.

It's around 5 minutes of game, and you can't really die. This one is a bit weird, it has some more text and more "story" than I ever did.
It got some pretty good ratings! 8th place overall, 1st place in theme, 2nd place humour and also in the top 20 in fun, innovation, and mood.

It's a space platformer with weird physics.
It has it's issues (the other 2 games also), but I'm quite happy with it.
From what I've seen, most people go into one of two groups: 1. They don't get the mechanics- it's not like most 360 gravity platformers where every planet has it's own gravity field. Once you're off the planet the gravity stays in the same direction. This usually results in frustration and/or rage quitting. :P I tried to improve a hint in the third level but I'm not sure if it worked. 2. They get the mechanics and abuse them to finish the game and they feel it's really easy. Most levels can be "cheated"- If you jump sideways you can just skip most of the challenge. This is my fault, I knew it was possible (actually it's possible to beat every level in one jump) but I decided to leave it because I didn't think so many people would realize that. Also I think it's kind of funny.

I'll be really happy if you play any of them!

Thanks!

I used http://www.wordclouds.com/ which was the first google result for wordcloud. Then I copied and pasted the text of the comments one by one and converted everything to lower case.
Play the game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-hummus
You should. It's totally not the worst game ever. I swear. (????)
