In 'Shapes Are Mean' you avoid cruel shapes to the beat of the music. The light beams harm you, the dark beams help you; The more light beams you get, the worse it is!! If you place your beams wisely and collect those upgrades, you may just stand a chance!

It's got a tutorial and everything! I spent a lot of time working on the gameplay and am happy to say I've had fun with it - I hope you do too!

Two things: first, wanted to let you know I posted an updated version of 'Shapes Are Mean' on itch.io. This version (hopefully) fixed an issue which was stopping the game displaying on certain pcs.

I'll be prioritizing 2D games because I live in a country where internet is slllloooooooow and 3D games usually take too long to download because of their typically larger sizes.

My goal was to enter this game in the Comp, but since that didn't work out, I entered it in the Jam instead! One of the things that took me past the Comp deadline was that I committed to making a couple of original songs for the game...it was hard, but worth it I think :) I had fun with it, and hope you do too.

What I made was a puzzle / rhythm / stealth game. You use noise and rhythm to avoid detection!
