I’m in
Made a last second decision to enter, but I’m in for my 2nd Ludum Dare! This time I’ll be using Love2D w/aseprite and most likely chiptone or bfxr.

After a brief 3 hour nap, it’s time to “start” a new day. Gonna fill up dat VCR with some goodies today.
About to break for food, but figured I’d post another inprogress shot of PressPlay… VCR Repair Shop sim.

I hope everyone else has been having some success… just woke up over here and am ready for my final 12ish hour stretch! Hoping I can get some basic broken VCR gameplay working today.
Good luck everyone!
Much closer than the last time I attempted this, so I’m much happier with my 2nd LD Compo experience. I do really like my VCR Repair Shop game though and plan to continue working on it through the night. Perhaps I’ll still enter it into the jam tomorrow!
This will be my 3rd LD (3rd time’s a charm)… this time I plan on finishing the compo in time!
First time I used Unity, second time I used LÖVE, this time I think I’ll give GameMakerStudio 2 a shot.
I actually was able to finish my LDJAM entry on time: Andi’s Moving Company!
In a rush at the end, I threw in the simplistic UI and Time Limit so the game hardly got balanced. I’ve also since been working on some significant control improvements as a result of all the wonderful feedback I’ve gotten!
Also.. a brief post-mortem of it here!
I had an awesome time this time around, and it’s been so much fun trying and rating other people’s games. Can’t wait til the next one!!!
I’m in! This will be my 4th Ludum Dare (also, in a row). I finally finished my first LD with LD37 so I’m hoping to continue that trend!
Using GameMakerStudio 2 again, w/Aseprite.
Not sure what for Audio, but I don’t generally get that far 😉

Using: * GameMakerStudio 2 * Aseprite
Not sure what I'll use for audio, hopefully I'll get there!
I've been hard at work on my game - The 3 1/2 Seas.

It's an exploration digital boardgame, pretty much. The idea is that you spend 'Telescopes' to draw new tiles each Turn. A Turn is a single Month in game terms, and you may only explore once per month.

In addition, you have the option to move your little boat, which the amount it moves depends on the windspeed, and perhaps some upgrades to your boat (sails, crew size, [Scope Control Warning]). If you move next to an island, you'll be able to make port to trade, upgrade your ship, or hire crew... and also buy more Telescope Tokens to do more explorin'

The game is over when every square has been explored by a single explorer. Each square uniquely explored earns Favor, the 'complete' explorer gets a bonus, and then there'll be bonuses for other TBA bonus goals (such as most crew / gold).
I've got plans for a bit of a 'colony management' element, but again, I am so dangerously going to blow scope.
You can catch me working on it the majority of the time on twitch!
