My 6th game here! :D

WOOOW! this is my 6th time im going to make game on this awesome competition! i cant wait :D.

* What im going to use *
As always im going to use C# with XNA since they are awesome but im planing to use C++ with SDL on the next competition but first i need to learn SDL… xD. Anyways here is the list of programs that im going to use:

* Visual C# 2010 (For code)
* Paint .NET (For drawing)
* sfxr (Audio effects)
* FL Studio (Music)
* Chronolapse (Screen recorder)

and also im going to use this:

* Base Code: Just to skip the boring part of coding because i always write the same starting code for every game i made.
* Map Editor: I made a map editor in Visual Basic a long time ago (i think before the last competition) so i don’t have to make a new map editor for every game i made.

* GOOD LUCK *
Good luck to everybody, have fun and also try to be happy all the time n.n and prepare to make your best game ever on this competition, you can do it, you guys are awesome 😉

* Good times *
Im going just to leave here my ludum dare timelapse videos just to remember the good times :’)

Timelapse problem :( HELP!

I want to make a timelapse video but i record everything using Open Brodcaster (which i use for MY livestream) and i cant find a good program to speed up my videos since some are 6 hours or 12 hours and some programs cant handle that kind files or it takes like 2 days to be process :(. Does anybody know which is a good program or just how to speed up the videos from this livestream that i record to make my timelapse.. or do i just use chronolapse for the timelapse (that was my idea but i tho just speeding up the video would look nicer). Thanks for any help (

UHP Underground Facility

I used a base code that i wrote a week ago for this LD. Its just the basic skeleton stuff that i write all the time when making my games so i decided to just save some time and have files that have these repetitive things.

i Wasted a lot time coding for the reading scripts and maps. Adding more objects to the game also was hard, next time I’ll add the complete base code to make it like a sandbox. The last hard part was drawing and getting the levels right.

About the levels: I didn’t have code for switching between maps so that was a big problem since i wanted at first to make the game to be able to generate the levels randomly and you just got to find a way out. I also added keys and doors but i couldn’t use them this time. Because i didn’t make it to generate randomly i had to make the levels myself, so that was very hard. Of course when making the map randomly you don’t make a big thing, you just create a part of a map that represents for example a 3 way hall or just an empty room.

Another thing i didn’t finished was the particle, bullets and gun system. i manage to get the Chainsaw system done but the others are now kind of bad. You have to hold “fire” (left click) to make the gun to be able to work instead of just making clicks. The particles where terrible, just plain squares like the bullets. I also was planning to add like gore to the game when killing the monsters with the chainsaw or the guns but i didn’t have time.

The final result for me is: incomplete, i wanted to add a lot of stuff to my game but there was no time .
Conclusion: Make a sandbox 2D engine. (:
