second game I’m going to make, hope I have time to finish this!

it’s less than 40 min left and I love the feeling i get while waiting for someting great early in the morning. I got up at 4am to get redy, now i’m going to hurry up and eat someting.

I give up (sadly)and go to sleep now but I’m still happy becuse I had relly fun and gained a better understanding of java.I could maybe finnish the game but I just can’t lose that mutch sleep,it’s school tomorow and rigth now it’s 22:50 where I live. and my idea wasn’t good to begin whit, I culdn’t come up whit something to minimalism so I started making a game and found something to represent the theme. making it all in gray, white and black.

but the thing is I lerned and had fun and what more could I ask for, and i could finnish next time. more pepole should join  ludum dare next time becuse I would like more pepole to experiance the joy of ludum dare(sorry for spelling and grammar, english isn’t my first langue);

I’m pretty slow but I finnaly got tiles on the screen and I think I  maybe will be abel to finnish in time!

only need to fix jumping a little, then it’s only collision left and it will be a playable game.I also need to add the sun becuse you only get one ingame day to finnish the game(the best idea I could come up with for the game).

I’m nearly done with collision but it’s a little off(ok extremly off). I just need to find what I did wrong and fix it, hopefully before my tea runs out!

now I spilled my tea over me and my keyboard and still stuck att collision detection. I’m running out of stuff to drink to.Now I have refill my damn tea again!

Finally figured out what i did wrong with collision detection and then I sat there 7 minutes and just laughed. Now I can finally finish jumping and start adding features!

Now you can jump and collision is done, now to the sun!

Added a sun now if I can figure out how to make different skycolor at different times that would be great

now there is water andthe sun moves a little different than the player up and down. now when nigth falls you lose, there are 3 sky colors. now I only need to make a better player character and finnish the level!

Well I have to go to bed but I implemented a display to show how mutch magical charge you have left(used to fly).

and you play as a magical gem(still don’t hava a name for the game ).

I’m finaly done and I chose to call the game Escape of the red gem. not the wery best but I’m happy with it as my first finnished ludum dare game.

After a late start I can now render pixels on the screen.

Now I can get into the actual game.

Added a boat that drops balls that kills you and a game over screen(that I spent way to much time on making). Don’t really know how to make it an actual game but I’ll just keep adding stuff and see how it turns out(worked last time), of course I forgot to add sharks before I started on the ship and game over screen so sharks will probably be a little late.

There is now terrain, movement, sinking water and movement. I’m currently trying to figure out how to make a good looking shark.

added a bomb you can send on boats, also started adding more fancy graphics(bubbels and a background). the sand needs a little fixing, It’s currently making me feel ill when your moving around.
