Making バクラウ Bloodless | Teaser

Hi Everyone! We’d like to share a teaser for a in depth look at the making of our Ludum Dare submission: バクラウ Bloodless. Check out the game on the link below;

We always wanted to register our game jams but never found the time to be able to do it properly throughout the whole jam. This time we planned a little bit and, during the 72h we tried to record as much stuff as possible.

Also, the final video is going to feature some quick interviews with every one in the team about the whole process of this incredible weekend of Ludum Dare!

Last day of ratings is (almost) here

Limited time budget pushed me to go simple this time. So simple I only used two colors and text characters. Still failed to complete all the mechanics I wanted, but the game is somehow playable.

If you want to give it a try you can do so here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/alphabet

And as some had already mentioned, it's good to use the danger filter these last few hours so as many games as possible get their ratings.

Dawn of The Final Day - 24 Hours Remain

Lots of people already played and rated my game, that's awesome! But the more's the better, so if you have five minutes to kill, give it a shot :) I'll do the same for yours!

Highest player score on Jam Cultist Simulator is an 8/10

Screenshot_1.png

Hey, the game I've made, Jam Cultist Simulator, is a kinda puzzly-experimentaly game about making a game for a gamejam, inspired by Cultist Simulator. In the game you have to make a game ( very meta indeed) for a gamejam and at the end your game receives a score depending on the ammount of work you've put into it and a couple of secret factors (hehe).

:fire: The hi-score in the comments right now is an 8 out of 10. I'd love to see if anyone can get a perfect 10! :fire:

Also I’d love to know what do you think of the game and leave a screencap in the comments if you do get a world first perfect score!

You can try the game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/jam-cultist-simulator

Last chance to get some *Inspiration.*!

I've finally managed to get to 20 ratings given, so I'm safe. I feel kinda bad about stopping at 20 (and taking so long to get there in the first place), but life and mental issues get in the way, sadly.

Anyway, if you want to play and rate my game, Inspiration., you've got less than 24 hours to do so! Give it a look: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/inspiration

A voting tool

Hi everyone,

Good luck with the last day of voting! For those who still have time to poke around, I made a tool too help with sorting and keeping track of votes:
https://lars-erik.github.io/ldjam-lists/

I wanted to make it show the content of each game on hover as well, but lack of time prevented me from figuring out why VueJs doesn't update the content when sorted. If anyone are interested, the source code in question is here:
https://github.com/lars-erik/ldjam-lists/tree/gh-pages-info

Hope to make this a bit better for LD46.

In any case, if you find it useful, we wouldn't be ungrateful for a few last reviews of our game as well. 👼

Slimy Dungeon only needs a few more ratings!

title.png

Slimy Dungeon is mine and @Thunder 's first ever game jam game, and we'd love if more people could play and enjoy it! Seeing there's only ~20 hours left, I thought I'd make a last blogpost to draw attention to it!

It's playable in your browser too, so playing & rating doesn't take long!

Try it, at https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/slimey-dungeon !

WebGL available, Jam Cultist Simulator needs your vote!

Cover_small.png

:fire:I've just made a WebGL version to make trying the game easier. :fire:

Jam Cultist Simulator is a timed puzzle game inspired on the Cultist Simulator videogame about making a game in 48h for a game jam. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Post-Jam "You Broke the Game" is released!

Hello everyone! It took some time, but we managed to implement most of the ideas from your feedback. One of the most unnoticed things in the original game was the breakage of "Start" button at the very beginning. Now, when you click on it, it epically explodes and drops on the ground.

start.gif

Another problem was the lack of ability to look upwards. Now you can look in whatever direction you want.

Enemies had been tuned, the extended statistics at the very end has been added. Besides that, achievements and scoreboards were introduced in the post-jam version of the game. Some achievements are given during the basic walkthrough, some require you to play the game in different way (such as pacifist or speedrun achievements).

medals.png

There're two scoreboards you can climb: any% (you can skip coins) and 100% (you must collect them all).

You can still play and rate the jam version of the game here:
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/you-broke-the-game

If you wish to collect all the medals or compete with other speedrunners, consider the post-jam version:

Thanks for the wonderful event!

I'm a bit slow, but here's a comic for you all just to say thank you! It describes the way I felt in the days before LD45 started.

ludum-dare-theme-voting.png

Also a big thank you to all players, who checked out my game Sheep Keep! I made a Post Mortem which covers everything I learned this time. Stuff about Krita, Unity animation clips, Procedural Generation, etc, etc. There's also the obligatory timelapse. Enjoy!

Final day of ratings!

I'm pretty satisfied with my first submission to Ludum Dare, MiniRpg!. I also made a post mortem that you can watch here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ya4Bbo_Fis

Release?

We are deciding wether or not to make a full version of the game and release it somewhere. Any feedback regarding our prorotype (LD entry) is appreciated!
