My effort continues on Out the Door with some new artwork, a rewrite (of sorts) to fix the build process, which has led to something of a self-driven code review.

Spent a chunk of the day cleaning up the refactor and managed to port over the dialogue system from the LDJAM version and mark that chunk of work complete. :smile_cat:

Did a short update video if you are interested in seeing the progress.
Now onto the scenario planning...

Artefaktum is a solid puzzle game which I did after the 46th LudumDare using the first release. The theme was "Keep It Alive". You can download my project for free here. If you want, write a brief feedback. I wish you the best. See you later - probably for the 48th Ludum dare session in April 2021. Bye ++

We're continuing to work on Pillars of Anguish! Follow us on Twitch: Outfrost & 666Savior13.
In Ludum Dare 38 I made the game "Space Travel 15" (You can find it here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-travel-15). It was a game mostly inspired by Mini Metro, but with UFO's. The game was in no way perfect, but I liked the idea that much, that I decided to play around with the idea some more. So I have since then worked a bit on a game inspired by "Space Travel 15", "Mini Metro" and something like "Railroad Tycoon". I call the game "UFO Airlines".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ge60Nx7Vug

The idea for the game is to make something like "Mini Metro", but you have in this game much more control with how passengers are moved from airport to airport. The game is long from being finished, but if you like games like "Mini Metro" and "Railroad Tycoon", there is a lot of things you can play around with.
If your are interested in trying the game, you can find and try it here https://gamejolt.com/games/UFO_Airlines/474993
Hello everyone! Recently, I started programming a game engine called Alchem. It is an open-source 2D game engine written in java. It currently has a simple 2D opengl renderer, a python scripting api, a "physics engine", and a tilemap system. Here is a screenshot of a breakout game I made in it:

If this interests you, you can download the engine from github (https://github.com/Nikos1001/AlchemEngine) and join the Alchem discord server (https://discord.gg/YuRdxE684U)
Well, after a whole lot of work, gamedev, and just plain ol' procrastination, I've finally made some sketches for everyone who requested one, and a sketch because I wanted to make one. Full collection below! (I'm probably missing some people, sorry if I forgot you. Let me know if I promised a sketch and I didn't make one, I'll make one ASAP.)
It all started when I responded to an artwork offer... and received this from @moski :

Who wouldn't be exited, inspired, and eternally thankful after getting something like that?
So, my inner artist went crazy and got inspired. Little did I know how hard it is to draw with a touchpad instead of a touchscreen or pencil.
But I persevered over the tyranny of awful results, and got decent results! Check it out!

I've finally learned how to tame my PC's touchpad! (I never said I tamed it, I only learned how.) Anyone else want a sketch?
(Next Ludum Dare I'll try to avoid drawing them digitally... digital drawing is not exactly my strong suit, I'll have to get a sketchpad and pencil for everyone's sketches in LD48)
[EDIT] Another sketch in the comments.

We created a post-jam version thanks to your savvy feedback and your awesome reviews!

See you in there! Thanks again for all your support! <3

What did you work you work on this year? Let's just exchange feedback!
While waiting for the next LD, you may be interested in joining Alakajam's Feedback Fortnight, to be held from November 22 to December 17.
This is an event where you can submit any game project, complete or not. When entering, you are then invited to review the other entries, as the goal is indeed to exchange feedback between participants. To make this more effective, we have a LD-like "karma" system in place so that the more feedback you give, the more visible your game is.
If this sounds useful to you, head over there to read more about the event and enter it!
NB. In case you're wondering why this is not an itch.io jam, Alakajam! is actually a sister community to Ludum Dare funded in 2017 by LD mods & veterans. We host week-end long jams three times a year, with some cool twists like gaming competitions held on a jam entries or special events like this one :)

Feel free to use following timecodes to skip to a certain part of the video, or viceversa, find the link to a corresponding game you really liked down below :D

I sincerely hope I'll be able to do something like this next event, too! Thank you all for your participation <3
Have a wonderful week :3
If you’re interested in more great games I found, do take a look at my previous highlights
So guys, let's go for the version update! I received a lot of feedback this past month and November after Ludum Dare, so I decided to work on Phil Alone a little more and maybe even expand it.... Well, that's it for now, let's go to the list of updates and bug fixes!
Text updates - Some texts were awkward in both version, English and Portuguese, so I decided to look for some changes.
Text Box update - The text box is a little more darker, so everyone can read it better now in both versions!
Content Warning - I put a little Content Warning in the game too and what it is.
Sound updates - Some sounds were too loud, so I decided to low their volume, like the phone sound.
Computer Update - Now you have to press Z or Enter to pass the Computer task list, so it's better for the player to read it all.
Bed Update - So, some players didn't saw that the bed have some little things to do, so I decided to remove one part of the text there.
Bug fixes - Fixed when the assets of the magazine and the painting were still appearing even if you decided to remove them or destroy them.
Guys, I hope you enjoy the new versions of the game and please leave a feedback for me to see it what you thought about the game!
If you wanna help me develop more of Phil Alone, please send me a donation by the itch.io website, I would be gladly accepting it.
And to finish this devlog... I am looking for translators, if you wanna be a part of this game, please send me a message and let's make it happen!

Several people wanted to see an extended version of Goop Loop, so here it is! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1454550/Goop_Loop/
It features improved art, an extended level, more voice lines, etc., and will continue to have content added to it, as it's just early access right now. The premise is simple: You're a goop stuck in a loop. All you can do is jump and stick (with a bit of air acceleration). Physics does the rest. Can you make to top? Or will you flop and plop?

So guys, I didn't have anything to do today so I decided to put my characters on a little art of Among Us!
Hi everyone!
As you may know, on November 21st the Super Nintendo (SNES) console turned 30!
To celebrate this, I made a new SNES game titled "The Last Super." This is actually an extended version of my LD46 entry: Keeping SNES Alive

You'll play as the last SNES cartridge on Earth. You'll have to move and jump around in each of the 20 levels of the game so every SNES can play you! But don't let a SNES without cartridge for too long...

The game is freeware and can be played online or downloaded from here:
https://drludos.itch.io/the-last-super
It’s also available on cartridge to play on a real SNES, with my LD46 entry “Keeping SNES alive” as an added bonus:
https://catskullelectronics.com/collections/games/products/the-last-super

Last but not least, the game is open-source, with a lot of detailed comments in the code.
I hope it’ll motivate and help other developers to make new games for the SNES!
I hope you’ll enjoy it!
Hey guys,
My first game jam, my second published game ... and what a wonderful experience.
Since then I have been working on its update, and I wanted to share it here with you.
Hope you like it.

Hi everyone.

I released a new puzzle game Everyday Housing Problem 2 days ago. It was supposed to be an entry for LD47, but I couldn't submit it by the deadline because it was a mess then. After working on it for 2 months, I thought finally I can show off what I wanted to make. If you are interested in puzzle games with unusual mechanics or well-thought-out levels, please check it out!

Hello all you jammers! Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season :)
I just wanted to announce that my award winning submission, Loop, is live on Steam!
Please feel free to check it out, and maybe drop a review <3
Thank you all for making Ludum Dare so amazing!
Stay Safe,
