Tools:
Most likely Unity3d, as I will be working with a crowd of Unity programmers.
If not, I’ve been recently messing about with roguelikes, which if I do that, it would be using C and ncurses.
If not that, it’ll probably be some iphone game.
Graphics will likely be done in Gimp. I have cfxr still working on my computer, so probably that. Also, I want to play with this

Last time we participated was at Ludum Dare #22 We made Pat’s Adventure
This time we will be participating as an Official Dev group.
For this competitions we have:
Hector Robles – Art, Game Design
Curtis Williams – Code, Art
Good Luck and have fun!
Edit:
We will be broadcasting at our Google Plus Page.
Tools:
Game Engine – Unity3D
Graphics – Mypaint, Gimp, Blender, Inkscape
Sound & Music – Undecided
Here is my base code for Ludum Dare #24: https://github.com/wjlroe/base-code/tree/01-basic-cljs-setup
It’s just a basic scaffold for bootstrapping coding with ClojureScript (and the Google Closure Library). The main thing is the Foreman config that allows you to run “foreman start” and serve up the Javascript (which will be recompiled when you save ClojureScript files) with a simple web server.
I will be adding more code as time goes on, suggestions welcome.
So excited for everything to kick off now!

I might not be as ready as I was last time (which was my first time), but I think I’m going to give this a shot once more. I was pretty happy with my LD23 entry, but there was a lot of room for improvement.
Code: Lua/Love2D ( with my custom library I used last time )
Graphics: Grafx2, Inkscape (with my new tablet)
Sound: Sfxr, Audacity, and not sure for music yet
Well, time to study my code and library from last LD and figure out how my library works again, and hopefully rework the collision detection so it is nicer, and rework the keyboard handler so it supports key combos (in case I want to do a fighting game).
Good luck everyone, and rock on!
Don’t worry, it’s coming.
You see, early during the warming up, I realized that I didn’t know a lot about the collision library I had adopted. So, I decided to take extra time learning the ins and outs. Now, you might call this cheating, but heck, it’s a warmup. And besides, I wouldn’t want to be learning it in the middle of the compo, now would I? It’s better this way.
Now, you may be wondering why I’m using a new collision library, bump.lua, in the first place. Well, a few reasons. For one thing, I’ve had big problems with my own platformer code in the past. I normally use the method of checking collision like this, dividing to allow checking against single points. But, when applying this method, I sometimes get glitches like floating a pixel above the ground or not fully moving to reach the wall next to you. Now, I know exactly why these glitches occur, and I even have a slim idea on how to fix it. But bump.lua promised perfect displacement so you will reach the floor and wall every time. And it doesn’t have to be used for just tiles, the same lib can also work for entity collision. Of course, it checks against rectangular bounding boxes instead of my previously known method, but that never worked out so well, anyway. So, I’m using it, while being wary of COMMANDMENT 6, of course. 😉
I always wanted to learn more about HTML5 and JavaScript, but could never seem to find the time. So, that’s what I’ll be using.
I am in! Pretty sure I’ll get an uninterrupted 48 hours this time so I’m really excited about this. I figured it was time to update my montage of past entries.
Yeah, so I’ve been doing these for a while. I’m pretty sure I’ll stick to good old C++/OpenGL/SDL but there’s a chance I’ll use cocos-2d or cocos-2d-x if I come up with a 2D game. I’ve started on a real for-serious game engine but it’s not quite ready even for ludumdare usage yet, hopefully it will be ready for the next one. So I’ll probably once again use bits and pieces from my old entries for a basecode. I’ve got some new musical toys so hopefully I’ll find time to add some music for this one. For graphics I use photoshop and blender.
Good luck everyone! This is going to be awesome!

Have a few things happening but I’m planning to put some time into finishing a prototype for this competition.
This will be my first LD where I’ll be participating, though I’ve been following it for some time. Looking forward to the theme.
Plans:
– C++, VS2010 (Windows, won’t have time to port)
– Have basic framework with input, event management, process manager built on top of SDL
– 2D sprite graphics most likely
My first time in Ludum Dare.
I’ll be using:
-Construct 2 – Awesome tool for HTLM5 gaming
-Photoshop
-SFXr
-Audacity
-cgMusic – Random Music Generator
I’ve been considering doing a Ludum Dare for some time now, but this is the first one I have free. I’ll be participating in the Ludum Dare Jam with bowlercaptain, and we’ll be using Game Maker 8.0 Pro to code our game, as well as probably a bajillion content generators and/or MSPaint + Gimp.
Can’t wait!

This will be my first Ludum Dare entry. I’ll be using Java, Eclipse, and Paint.NET.
anybody ever getting tired because of all the times you had to host your source?
WELL NOT ANYMOAR MOTHA F***
err…sorry about that, anyway you can now download/upload your file EASY!
no need for a file manager, 100% safe, tested and approved, now try h, because you’ll never have trouble trying to find a way to post your games AGAIN! have fun!
*ps, sorry if i sounded like an narrator for a condom commersial or somthing like that…*

for limited free hosting sites, I have had good luck in the past with random hosts listed there
OR
if you want, just shoot me a email at osgeld(at)cheesefactory.us with a login name and (exclusive) PW and I will set you up a little FTP space on my personal site (not that anyone ever does)
Avoid the megafile host link buy premium space now or wait 25 min for download to 100k of zip file bull-crap, and make voters happy as they plow though 1xxx entries
+ html5+flash+java+zip … its a ftp account, knock yourself out

Despite the collision with the guild wars launch, I will start in LD 24 using löve.
My codebase is on github and I describe it in detail on my blog.
I will use FLStudio/Supercollider for music and sound, Pixen for pixelin and VIM/Textmate for coding.
Disregard the kongregate drama and have a great time!

I’m streaming again. Going to practice for the compo, taking notes studying and preparing for Ludum dare 24.
The language I will be using is Java. I will only be using Java for everything… Which means no external resources.
No promising the stream will be of good quality but if it starts putting stress on my computer I will turn the bit rate and resolution down a bit. I might have a friend to talk to if not there will be music. I hope it goes well :). http://www.twitch.tv/skyllartor

That’s how it goes right? Anyways. This’ll be the 5th ludum dare I’m trying to enter. I hope to make a game in time this time. I’ll be using:
Flixel
Graphics Gale
Dame (if aplicable)
A few tools from my my personal library. (a couple extra fixel objects and some tricks)
GIMP for transparency.
Flash Develop
(at least i’m pretty sure it’s my 5th)
Hello, I’m in!
Tools used:
Good luck to all.

So, I think this is a bit of a tradition for me. But I’ll be having a mini-jam leading up to Friday to warm up.
Rules:
Does not have to be from scratch.
Can’t use the code for #ld48.
Can’t use the graphics for #ld48.
Can’t use the genre for #ld48.
Does not have to wrap around a theme.
So, I’ll be attempting to make a city sim. I’m calling it a success when the player can:
Place buildings on a map.
Click on those buildings to earn cash.
Bonus: Have the player summon a worm to destroy said city for extra points.
Any one else in? And we can post our results on Friday.

I’ve just moved and I haven’t quite unpacked but I’m in. This is my second attempt, I didn’t complete a game last time due to an over complicated level design and underestimating how long the artwork would take. This time I’m going to go waaaaay simpler!
I’ll be using:
I’ll most likely blog about it on Tumblr. Good luck everyone!
