One more vote plz plz plz

Hey! I'm sorry to ask but I wasn't able to play much games this time. I would still like to be ranked and I only need one more vote! Anyone would be kind enough to test my game?

Thanks :D

Really awesome game jam!

I wanted to thank everyone who participated in the game jam! It is always awesome to see so many people are passionate about creating video games united in one event! This is just really great! I hope all of you enjoyed the jam as much as I did, and got to play lots of fun games like I did! Have a great day! (Anxiously awaiting for the next jam )

Newbie Q, part deux

So, at 6pm EST will we know our ratings and/or ranking, or does that wait for tomorrow's "top 15" thing?

Last minute blog post blast!

2 hours to go - check our little platformer game if you have a minute and I will check yours if I have a minute! We are working on many fixes for this game but will not be publishing anything until well after the jam is over. Thanks for checking it out! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This community is lots of fun and a great resource for learning about game making. Can't wait for the next time we participate!

Almost there!

My first time participating in Extra and I've received some really valuable feedback so far. With only 2 hours left, I'd appreciate getting a few more eyes on it (and maybe hitting the sacred 20 ratings!).

Play it here

And feel free to drop your own games in the comments!

The last stretch

Hey Jammers !

It's almost over again. And I want to take the time to thank all of you for being a part of a beautiful game jam community. For those 48 hours of compo, being free... being able to do something creative, trying new things... It binds us every single time and I love seeing familiar faces. Every time, it's a whole world that opens up. Thank you for the creations you've made, regardless of the rank you receive. Best of luck to everyone, but do keep in mind that it's just a number, the real prize is the escape from reality we had for those couple of days.

Ok that being said... It'd be very cool to get a couple more ratings in :) I don't think I've ever landed this high. I am already proud as can be. Until the next LD !

Cheers,

JavaSaurus

Last hours at work

I just wanted to to take a moment to thank all of you for playing our game!

Some of my friends on the team have prior experience with game jams, but speaking from my personal perspective, this has been a incredibly fun first experience! We are super thankful for your feedback and kind words! It means a lot for me that you enjoyed the game as someone who is passionate about becoming an indie dev! I am especially happy that the visuals were so liked! Me, and the other artists have worked hard to make them as good as they are in the time we had

I am definitely looking forward to participate in future jams! I'll see you in the next one

As for the game itself we are considering turning it into a full game, with a ton more content more content and some interesting little twists

Btw! if you haven't had the chance to play our game yet you can Try it here

Thanks!

Thank you to everyone who rated our game!

I appreciate you all, even only seeing participating in ludum dare makes me happy! I am thankful for those who rated "Pong Begrenzt"! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/pong-begrenzt

Some last minute sketches

Ah, I almost forgot: I'm playing some last games at the end of the jam, if by chance you want to post your game here in the message, I'll be happy to evaluate  I've been having some ideas about a possible opening screen with the game's logo, which has to do with mechanical and futuristic things. The first phase is contained in this image, instead of simply changing the screen, the camera zooms in on the image until it reveals the first phase, which is very similar to all the others, just changing the traps (I made a gif simulating below, these are just drafts). I would like you to take two minutes and test it in HTML5, it's so short it's almost a joke, but you know, that's what I got:

The begging for votes post

Hey all ! Got a bit forgetful (and lazy lol) in rating games, I managed to get 20+ ratings in every category, except humor and mood, in which I have like 17.

If by any chance you wanna test my game, feel free to do so, it's a very hard puzzle platformer with a die and retry mindset, if you're into those type of games like me, you might like my game ! Please ! Play it ! I beg of you ! Arrghhh . .. ./§.§./; 3R.LZFE;

Anyways, here's the link for the game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/oh-no-my-spacebar-has-been-cursed-by-an-evil-wizard-if-i-press-it-too-much-i-am

And a playthrough if you wanna look at the solution !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXc Q you're smart is it this... https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/pong-begrenzt or this...?

Any Vim/NeoVim users?

Arrow keys? WASD? Joypads?

That's boring.

The best, most efficient way to move is, of course, using HJKL.

Limit equations have taken over outer space, use your L337 vim motion skills to save the universe!

You don't even need to leave the home row of your (mechanical?) keyboard. Like a pro.

(the usual controls for normal human beings are also available)

Thanks for the event!

Hey! Just wanted to post before the end of the event to thank everyone for creating awesome games, playing and leaving feedback!

Being my first jam, I was very impressed at how much creativity a single sentence like "limited space" can spark. I played games where the theme was interpreted as inventory, space bar presses, vision, function limits, computer storage, screen space, luggage, walking space, play area, and many more that I am forgetting! I was also impressed by how much good feedback I saw on the comments of almost every game.

I had a lot of fun playing your games and look forward to do it again next event!

As one last note, during playtesting a friend of mine found a way to solve a level of my game in an unintended way using one less piece than expected. It's not incredible, but to me it meant that my game allows people to express their skill in ways I didn't expect, and that made me feel real proud. I hope all of you have moments of pride with your creations too!

Didn't get to record the moment my friend showed me the skip, but I still wanted to share it. So here it is as performed by me. oldemfinal/emlevel_solution.gif

Thank you for reading! See you next time!
