Sparm Rece!

You could already play the game I made this night, but it is only now that I've got time and energy to make a shameless promotion post about it.

In Sparm Rece you have to wiggle and flipper to reach mother EGG before it's too late and you run out of juice.

Features "Super Smart AI" and an amazing soundtrack voiced by yours truly!

Will try 24 hours

I used to work on games in my spare time.

Then came the working life where I make games.

I only made games during LDJams.

Then came a very nice lady and now have less time.

I only make games during LDJams for half of the time.

So for this one I'll try to spend one day to make a very simple, tiny art project just to see if I can still do it. Since I'll be taking the lady to a museum on Sunday I'll only have about 18 hours of time to actually sit at my desk.

I'll use these simple tools, programs and stuff:

  • Pen (maybe digital)
  • Paper (maybe digital)
  • Unity
  • Visual Studio
  • Photoshop
  • Microphone
  • Audacity
  • ...

Have fun all!

Panic at the Zoo

penguin.png After only 12 hours of time I though I made a pretty good game. It was super tiring and stressful to manage time but it was a really welcome change from doing the regular day job game.

I AM IN - Pixel Art Simplicity

After a couple of failed attempts, quiting the game buisness industry, and just not having a lot of time... I'm back! I'm back in the game and going to attempt to make a super low-scoped game this time.

I'll be trying to do pixel-art "the right way" this time, based on some tutorials I've followed to help me get better. Here are two of my recommendations I found really enjoyful to follow, as both guys have a fun and clear style of presenting their tips on how to make pixel-art.

  • Brandon James Greer https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxfQIomHccxvoTON6hXhfZyAUdFXd-z1P

Let's see if I can make something more pleasing than my previous attempts :frog: Sparm.png

I'll be using
  • PyxelEdit, pixel pushing all the way
  • Unity, engine of my choice
  • Audacity, probably will record some soundzz
BONUS tip!

If you'll be using Unity like I do, make sure to warm up with the version you are using. I've recently installed the 2019 version while being used to 2018... and wow what a change!

Be prepared :v:

To all, good luck! And most of all HAVE THE BEST FUN
