Rouge AI

Do you want to play a self-explanatory easy on the mind dumb dumb game after that tiring jam? Then go shoot up a bunch of evil robots in Locomotion Commotion

A great game suggestion for when you have a little more brain cells: EbonTale by JustcamH
Check out Ebontale by justcamH!
There's a heck of a lot more to it than just what's on the surface!
A really innovative game: Infinity testing room by the Greenman
A fun time!
And of course if you liked any of those suggestions maybe check out my team's game Locomotion Commotion?
Everything I've seen so far has been really good, nice job this time around guys (and girls, and everyone in between)!
I got a few for you!

And of course my own:

Thanks for a great LD everyone, including Mike, Ludum Dare is just a blast!
See you all @ Ludum Dare 48!
Found this amazing website: https://ldstats.info/ (Made by @kuro ?)
So here are some stats there:
I thought this time around my team made a much better game than in April, but it seems that it was rated slightly worse even. I think I know what I can improve. Anyway I'll be patiently awaiting 48!
For our 8th (Maybe 9th) jam! Good luck everyone!
Throughout my time doing 8 Ludum Dare's I've collected several pieces of software that have been helpful. Only problem is there are so many now that I've started to forget about things and then after a jam I'm like, "Darnit I wish I had remembered to use that!" even though I have it installed on my computer. To make sure I don't forget this time around I've created a handy dandy site with links to inspiration, ideas and so many different pieces of FREE software that can help you at any point in the game jam process. Check it out, it's going to become a bookmark on my main browser page throughout this jam so that I can quickly navigate to all my favourite software.

I really hope that you find this a useful tool. I created it for people who are veterans and newbies alike. I know the pain of not knowing what software to choose even though you know a million free pieces of software that do what you want must exist so hopefully this can mitigate that issue.

And I want to have some retro/video game magazines under the 'inspiration' section once the theme hits but I've been hard pressed to find any. Does somebody know a good idea?

It was rather inappropriate and I'm not proud of it...
I dreamed of polishing my game.
Even though absolutely 0 gameplay is in...
And worst of all.... I liked it
I was shown things I had never seen before, character walk animations went from legs rotating back and forth to 3 bone knees and everything fully accurately animated from references 2d sprite meshes...
Haven't quite gotten as much done as I've wanted but I have managed to not polish. It's absolutely killing me looking at the horrible art and being jealous of other peoples gorgeous games but I've stuck it out so far....
Hopefully tomorrow I can get some more mechanics implemented and more importantly think of more puzzle ideas and generally make more levels.
What is my game about?
It's a stealth puzzle game about exploring deeper and deeper into a government laboratory on Pony Planet I've decided to make the main character a horse because I've seen other people use animals as characters and thought it was a cute idea and I happen to love horses so why not!
But I needed the sleep. Here we go day 2!
The game still looks like absolute dog doo doo but at least I've managed to focus on the game mechanics this time instead of polish!
I've been holding back and it's been killing me but it's time to let loose with polishing! Here I come fully rigged 2D Sprites!

At very least it no longer looks like horse doo doo!
Wish me luck!

Probably a bit late, but is it within the rules to build my game after I've "submitted" it. I needed to make the deadline but it's taking forever to build WebGL so I don't have any functioning builds yet... I mean I have the source code open on github to prove I've made the game.
Unstable is finally released. I honestly didn't think I'd make it this year. Another oddity is that performance is actually better in the web build than the windows build, although this is most definitely a weird issue since on the native build I'm getting sub 20 fps - I'm looking into it. TLDR Win build broken play web build if possible!
As is typical for me I've barely tested it so if you want to come on down and play it and more importantly report everything that's broken that'd be cool!
Unstable is a short story driven moody puzzle/stealth game about exploring a government laboratory on Pony Planet. It should take you around five minutes to complete, potentially a little more depending on how well I’ve designed the puzzles ;)
*You can check it out here if you'd like! *
If your looking for other games to play check out Drill Through The Earth!
*Also I do my very best to play the game of everybody who plays my game so if your looking for some ratings come on down. And I'll of course be doing my duty aiming for at least 40 games played but I figured I'd post now anyway.
Congrats to everyone who has finished! I'm gonna catch some Z's 🛌
For the 8th... 9th? Consecutive time I'm in for LD. Wouldn't miss it for the world 😉.
Rather than post all the tools I'm using I'm instead going to link to a tool I created for finding the right tools. It has inspiration, tips, any number of free tools and more!
There's no ads and I don't get anything from visitors I'm just trying to help out. It's all hosted on GitHub if you want to open a pull request! I hope you find some use from it!
