I didn't finish it, but it's still published so you can play the (un)finished game!

I didn't finish it, but it's still published so you can play the (un)finished game!

It's not done, but you can still play it! WebGL version is coming soon!
Play it here! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/switch-zing-wip
Even though I did post my game, I never finished it. It's kinda sad when you put so much effort into something only for it to go unnoticed. Maybe LDJAM #41 though! Anyways if you want to see an unfinished game look here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/switch-zing-wip !
Switch Zing is now available
to play in your browser!
I can't believe it came up so quickly! I had a lot of fun last time, and I'm sure this time will be no different! In this jam I will be using: Unity- Game engine Bosca Ceol, Audacity, GarageBand, and beepbox.co for music/sound effects! Piskel, blender, (maybe Inkscape) and FireAlpaca for art! Visual Studio, Sublime Text for code! MacOsx for an operating system(Though I also have windows!) I will also be posting my game on itch.io! Hope everyone enjoys, and GOOD LUCK! 🌭
I loved the last one. IM SUPER HYPED FOR THIS ONE. I'm already tired. WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
19 minutes! Here we go!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!
Just a beach. Regular beach. Or is it?
Had to set the graphics in my game to very low, because on top of running my ubuntu linux vm, I'm doing a lot of stuff, and just web browsing was painful, so sorry if my next posts have low quality, I might turn it back up just fo rthe pics tho! Happy LD41! :)
I was making progress, thinking I could finish, and then I realized I might not be able to finish. I didn't make the deadline last year, and I'm determined to make it this year! I'm gonna try my hardest! See you all at the finish line! P.S. I'm doing COMPO!
It's day2 and the crunch time has begun, I need to do all of my mechanics/code I saved it all for the 2nd day. The map and art is pretty much done tho! Good luck to all!
Pretty much done! My first Ludum Dare that I have actually met the deadline and finished!
I finished it! FInally the first time I finished a ld! But, I had to cut A LOT. I think everyone has to do that. The game is not really fun, i feel I cheated because half the textures are not by me, I'm gonna have a long list of stuff used that I did'nt make. I'm not a great artist and had no 3D artist to help. It's okay. Music is okay. Gameplay is low. Theme is ok. The theme is combining exploration with limits. Hence it's called -Limits- Here is a teaser pic :)
Also it's set in a beach enviroment for seemingly no reason. This is because I had to cut a lot of the story. Ah well. Enjoy as muchas you possibly can. Hope you all had (better) luck But, I think I did ok, and I'm happy with it. I did finish for once! That makes me happy! Anyway this has been a long ramble.
Yay! You can play it! I need to post the link tho! :P
Same as before, but now I have the link! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/$76627
Welp. I finished! Best of luck to all! Time to get some MUCH NEEDED rest! I also have school tomorrow.. :(

Have fun!!!!

So, 20:30 I was hyped. I was closing down other applications and opening Unity and VS.
When 21:00 came around and I spammed reload for the last time, I saw that I got the theme I wanted! Yay! I know what you're thinking, you wanted that theme?!?! Well, a turn-based racing game sounded cool to me, and I knew that people would make some cool stuff from the theme! I couldn't wait to see what people made!
21:30 I had my basic Idea! :) I'm pretty lucky with getting my ideas for LDS!
22:00 I went to bed. I know. Early. But I wanted some sleep. Coding on 0 energy is worst then spamming the keyboard! :p
6:12 I started my project. I decided to go 3D. That was a big mistake. That destroyed all my ideas and made for a bad incomplete game I'm not happy with. Noted for next year. DON'T GO CHANGING your dimension. (e.x. 2D, 3D, VR)!
THE REST OF THE DAY I did level design think ing of my concept and did (a little) bit of scripting. At the end of the day, I had the whole map finished :)
6:23 - 10:00 I did ALL the scripting for the game. All the text all the colliders, you know the main scripting!
15:03 I submitted my game to LD! Yay! :) With about 5 hours to spare on the compo!
# SUMMARY
I had a lot to do, (outside of ld) and lost half of my time on those :( I watched Literal Games do their ld! You should check them out there awesome! :) I listened to a lot of music on Youtube! Mostly songs by Aron Fraser Nash! I also Binged Stranger Things for the 4th time! :P
Tell me your thoughts!
What did you think? Were you wishing (Like me) That Ludum Dare happened every week, or still recovering from the lack of sleep for the last one?! I wish it happened every week! But if it did I guess It wouldn't be so special! I hope everyone enjoyed this Ludum Dare!
I don't know what else to say! This is my first Post-Mortem!
Hopefully, something in this helped you! This will probably be my last post until Ludum Dare 42!! I can't wait!!!!
I think I did well this time! Last time I didn't even finish, so although my game is short and lacks polish I think I did great this year! I hope you all did well as well! That's it for me!
