Ludum Dare 48

I am in

Nothing much to say, just I'm in. One more thing, here are my themes: 1. Sound is deadly: Well, pretty self-explanatory 2. Choices matter. Or do they?: Well, Do choices really matter? Or is everything decreed by fate? 3. Modern problems, ancient solutions: Well, sometimes, modern problems require ancient solutions. And I didn't make this post after watching Veritasium's video on origami. Also, can someone teach me how to spell modern? I always get it wrong for some reason.

What I may be using

In my first Ludum Dare, I am going to be using Khan Academy's programming editor and JS Library. It is a bit unconventional, but I didn't have access to the engine of my choice, or rather, any engine at all, so I have to use all that I have got. Therefore the art will be created using Khan Academy itself. Also, I may be using some Khan Academy engines. But if I decide to import in libraries in HTML, I will change my plan and host my project independently using GitHub Pages, as libraries are very slow on KA.

Idea found

My idea is to create a space mining game, where you have to go to the depths of the universe for stuff. Also, Minecraft was born for this theme.

Basic Idea

Here is what I have in plan. The ores you have is on the right, the money bottom left. Let's see how this goes. Thumbnail.png

Change of Plans

I decided to change my ideas for the game to create a 3d platformer if i can get access to unity. If not, I will use my backup project.

Online Classes during Jam Time

I hate them: Because they get in the way of my jam

I love them: Because they help me to get more ideas for my game.

Looking up

game stuff.png My player movement and music is done! The game, which is a platformer, is going great for having started it with less than a day left.
