First Time Jammer
How does Bob Marley like his donuts? With jammin'!
I have been looking forward to joining my first ever game jam; however, I've an underlying anxiety about producing something that isn't very good that drives me to want to create something half decent in 72 hours. I do believe I can make something fun with these constraints; sometimes it actaully works to one's own advantage.
I have made a game in 3 days before; that was my "Super Idle Imagination" clicker satiremade in Flash 8 with AS2 a few years ago. You can check that out here: http://MadeByChaz.com/superidleimagination.html Flash was great for prototyping. This time I'll be using a tool that I've been learning while in isolation, GameMaker Studio 2. I'll be doing everything (art, design, music, code) myself.
I haven't gone through the list of possible themes and written down suggestions for all of them. I'm going to try take a more relaxed approach to the jam and just see what inspiration strikes when the theme is announced.
I shall probably record a timelapse of my screen rather than streaming as I work for I shall most likely be wrestling with my software for most of it!
Anyways, good luck and have fun! See you on the other side :)

Rendered a little speechless at the fantastic feedback and results for my first ever attempt at a game jam. I plan on making a post mortem video soon but for now I still need to digest the amazing fact of being top 100 across all categories. I'm very proud of this, thank you so much to everyone who played, rated, and left feedback on my game to help me improve it for an expanded future release.
