Second Ludum Dare !

Hi there ! :)

This is my second participation in the contest.
I hope I’ve made progress since the last time.

Language : ActionScript3
IDE : FlashDevelop
Graphics : Photoshop CS5, Paint, (maybe Paint Tool SAI)
Sound : as3sfxr, LMMS or Soundation, Audacity

I’m working on it…

Movement, collisions, and a few levels are done !

I’ll start art and being creative :)

What it looks like so far :

More on this later !

Some progress !

After a little more than 10 hours, we can see the main character’s face ! (Actually, it’s a she.)

For once, it’s a heroine who saves the world !
Made me think about games nowadays with female main character. Metroid… ? Portal… ?

Done !

Damn ! After nearly 19 hours and 31 minutes of work (if I believe my Timelapse), I finally managed to submit “Room 24” on Ludum Dare’s web site.

I’m proud to have finally created a fairly complete game in such a short amount of time. In fact, I made 12 levels with always new mechanics. (And to say that at first, I just wanted to FINISH a simple game. I challenged myself.)

So, my desktop is a little messy :

Actually, when you make a Ludum Dare game, you are cut off from everything that does not concern your game.

But you make awesome progress in 2 days, starting with nothing.

I went through this…

…To get there.

It was an awesome experiment, more challenging than the first one but also more instructive.

Thank you for reading. I have to meet my bed now.
