Hi, I’m Making a Ragdoll Sandbox

So yeah I’m gonna do this October Challenge thingie. Hopefully I’ll be able to complete this before the month is over.. Anyways I guess I’ll say a little about myself first, I’m a 16 year old kid that likes making iPhone games. So obviously, the platform I’ll be working for this on will be the iPhone ^_____^

So basically the project I’ll be working to complete will be a ragdoll sandbox game.. just spawn little stickfigures, boxes, weapons, and throw em around or shoot em at each other. Kind of like Pocket God but a bit more violent ahah. Still designing the thing out so if you have any ideas for this I would love you hear them(: Heres a pic of my current design for this ^_____^

Ragdoll Sandbox Week 1

Hi everyone, got the basic physics engine working. Took forever but now it’s finally somewhat stable ^_____^ It still explodes at random times but its fine for now haha. I got it to the point where you can drag the little physics entities around with your finger and fling em around the screen. Next thing to do is add blood and friction. Maybe I’ll make one of those tower defense games later using the physics code from this. Oh well, back to work now ^_____^

I think I will definitely purchase this game when it comes out. Make it iPod Touch compatible please! Ok, one other question, what are you using to code? are you using Unity? or are you just coding it from scratch with xCode? Because I’m 14 and want to start making iPhone games, but don’t where where to start :) If you could help me that would be awesome!

Ragdoll Sandbox Blood Physics

So I got the blood working for my game ^_____^ However when anything collides, it bleeds which doesn’t make much sense for the boxes.. Guess I’ll go fix that now haha. Stick figures are going to emit blood, and boxes will emit brown wood pieces. Anyways, here’s a video of what I have in action. Well I dunno how to embed youtube videos so just click on the pic to see it haha.

Looks excellent! Noticed from your other posts that you were coding native opengles in c++. Are you learning while coding or do you have OpenGL es down pretty solid? Also noticed you are using the iPhone 4 sim so I was wondering if you were using opengl es 2.0? If so have you run into any set-backs along the way so far for the challenge? Items of interest taking too long to move forward with?

Ragdoll Sandbox Trains!!!

Hi everyone! Just finished making a rigid body train in my physics simulator haha. I might make a game like canabalt but with trains and realistic physics.. haha jumping trains ftw ^^ Anyways here’s a pic(:

Ragdoll Trains? Sounds awesome! The Canabalt like game sounds like a good idea…

Ragdoll Sandbox Failure.

Started off as a ragdoll simulator, and eventually made its way to a canabalt-like game with trains. haha. Anyways, didn’t make it in time for the deadline, didn’t have enough time >_____< I’ll keep working on it though, keep up with my progress on my blog haha. http://justaprototype.com/

You got any gameplay videos of what you have so far, with this Canabalt type game?
