Keep Me Breathing - Art post

Oh boi, it's all coming together now. First game jam and it's so exciting !

I thought I'd share some art from our game, Keep Me Breathing. Since we wanted to avoid boring text and numbers, there are a LOT of gauges and stuff. That was interesting to make, and @astrolabe did a fantastic job implementing them !

I would like to thank you all for the overwhelmingly good response we got since the start of the jam.

Our game "Keep Me Breathing" (by @Astrolabe, @MrVarren and myself) as recieved a lot of attention and nice comments, so thank you to everyone that reviewed it so far !

And since a lot of comments were about the art, I've decided to do a small post to show you the process of making the UI. Enjoy !

Let's Go !

Ohhhhh boi, I participated for the Jam in the last Ludum Dare and it was a blast ! Now, let's raise up the challenge: it's time for the Compo...

Day 1 of Compo

So, I have the idea and design for my game. Now, to make it work... In the meantime, here's a concept art for the menu! Concept 0.png

I've finished the prototype for the first minigame in my collection ! Textures and effects will be made tomorrow.

Now that the basics are laid down, the next games are going to be much easier to make !

Second Minigame finished ! This one shouldn't get much more changes...

And... that's it for the first day for me !

I made and finished 2 minigames of the collection (of which you can get a preview on the game's page) and started the 3rd and final one. Tomorrow is going to be more asset creation.

Update Compo day 2 #1

And... here's the 3rd minigame of the Loop Collection ! Breeze Waker, where you flick your fan to push a small ship. This one was way harder to get to work than the first two, due to how I try to detect when you flick the fan. I'll have to rework the movement a bit more, since it can get hard to control at times.
