LD 41

‼️ I'm in and I'm very excited ‼️

I competed in LD29 (Beneath the Surface), and I made an entry for LD32 (An Unconventional Weapon), though I cannot seem to remember if I actually submitted it or not, and I have no idea how to check since it was on the old website.

Since then I have began studying CS in college and have learned so much! Though not much about video game development.

Previously, all game dev I've done has been in Java w/ LibGdx, but from my coursework I have become much more comfortable using C++, so I started trying to learn SFML yesterday and am hoping to be able to make something playable this weekend. I haven't had time to take part in Ludum Dare in a while, so I cannot wait to get started! As per usual, I will be competing in the compo for LD 41.

Tools I will be using

SFML (C++) - Programming

Xcode or CLion - IDE

PyxlEdit - Art

??????? - Music / SFX

Let's do this! 👊

24 down, 24 to go

It took me a pretty long time to get started up (my fault, wasn't as comfortable with my tools as I should've been), and I think my submission may only work on OS X, unfortunately.

BUT! I'm making a lot of progress and I'm pretty happy about it. I'm going with a Trivia X Fighting mashup!

[Compo] I submitted!

It feels good to have finished my third Ludum Dare. I think so many people did amazing this time around. It's nowhere near perfect, but it is the best LD entry I have ever made and quite possibly the best game I've ever made, I'm very pleased.

Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to figure out how to port it to Linux/Windows, so it is only runnable on macOS.

Anyway, I submitted Brainiacs! A trivia turn-based fighting game! Check out the game page here. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/brainiacs

I am looking forward to seeing what you all think of it!
