Hello, here a cat = ‘ ^ ‘ =

Hello. I was reading some post, your thoughts, from here. Well, I am here just to introduce me (Hello again!). Now, my thoughts…

I am a lone game developer, and I have a little time. So, something simple… Puzzles! I think that Ancient Technology goes well with puzzles. But I need a twist… Each piece of the puzzle is a puzzle itself. Here goes an idea for everybody.

This idea come from the dungeons from Zelda: Ocarina of Time; where I read that each dungeon, or levels, was a puzzle and each room a piece of the puzzle.

For those who have curiosity (like me = ‘ ^ ‘ =) about tools and platform I am going to use

*HTML5 game, and JavaScript will be my programming language

*Phaser is going to be my framework

*Editor: Geany, Brackets or Atom. Right now I don’t know…

I want something simple to use and easy to deploy. I hope show progress :)

Have a nice gamedev

Progress. Puzzles inside puzzles (Meow!)

DozoMystery_1

It’s going well. The code is clean and I am using classes. Phaser Sprite’s crop and cropUpdate methods do wonders.

I was thinking two types of puzzles, a ‘normal’ type and a slider puzzle for those pieces that are not puzzles.

Practice makes the master

DozoMystery_2‘Practice makes the master’… on something. I have few experience with Phaser, but now I have more experience. For different reasons I am tired and the game is far to be finished. At least here a snapshot. To use differents pieces you must solve them first. Once the game is finished I am going to publish it here (with source code).

First is my health. My game is not published, but now I have experience for the next game jam (Familiar Game Jam in Spain).

I don’t see this as a failure. Plus, I saw a few things that I can help with Phaser.

Take care and publish your games = ‘ ^ ‘ =

I hope finish this time

I don't promise nothing but if I have some idea with the winner theme my weapons will be:

  • Python3 (let's kill already Python2)
  • cx_freeze, for Windows users
  • Pyglet
  • graphics...maybe GIMP, or some pixel art editor
  • music and sound, I will see

Pixel art palette, 64 colors, for GIMP

I did a 64 color palette for GIMP, and I share it with you! :)

This doesn't let me upload the file, so copy and paste this to a file and import it to GIMP :p GIMP Palette Name: palette64 # 63 63 63 63 63 126 63 63 189 63 63 252 63 126 63 63 126 126 63 126 189 63 126 252 63 189 63 63 189 126 63 189 189 63 189 252 63 252 63 63 252 126 63 252 189 63 252 252 126 63 63 126 63 126 126 63 189 126 63 252 126 126 63 126 126 126 126 126 189 126 126 252 126 189 63 126 189 126 126 189 189 126 189 252 126 252 63 126 252 126 126 252 189 126 252 252 189 63 63 189 63 126 189 63 189 189 63 252 189 126 63 189 126 126 189 126 189 189 126 252 189 189 63 189 189 126 189 189 189 189 189 252 189 252 63 189 252 126 189 252 189 189 252 252 252 63 63 252 63 126 252 63 189 252 63 252 252 126 63 252 126 126 252 126 189 252 126 252 252 189 63 252 189 126 252 189 189 252 189 252 252 252 63 252 252 126 252 252 189 252 252 252
