Overall, there were many awesome games made for this jam. Thanks to the people who checked out my game and gave some feedback
I just wanted to say that I'm not done with my game yet, and you're still stuck in a loop

I thought I'd share on how I made some textures/effects for my Ludum Dare game.
Today, I'll show you step by step, on how I made a texture for my fog/explosion/impact effects in Unity.
1) Take a picture of a used tissue using your phone/camera, like I did here:

2) Import the texture to your PC, and open it up in an image editor, such as Photoshop.
3) Crop the picture to about the size of 512x512 or 1024x1024 (should basically be a square).

4) On top of the cropped image, layer a gradient of black, that fades out closer to the middle of the image. To do so in Photoshop, find the gradient tool, or if its not on your left-side panel, find the paint bucket tool, right-click on it, and select "Gradient Tool", and pick the right options for your gradient.
5) The end result should look similar to this:

6) Now you can export this texture to Unity, create a new material, assign it an Additive Particle shader:

7) Assign the created material to your particle system, give it some juicy motions and color changes over it's lifetime.
Here are some effects in my Ludum Dare 48 submission that are using my tissue:

Enjoy!
Gonna be streaming on Twitch soon and playing Ludum Dare games! Leave a link to your LD50 submission: https://forms.gle/ZQHBDogK3aX4bVQn6
