Every Beat of My Heart

Heart1.png

Hey, gonna try this for the first time. I'm surprised to see so many people against this theme haha. I am going to try to make a game where you have to press a heart button every 10 seconds There will be guy that is constantly walking throughout his life, if you press the heart button correctly you'll get to see his whole life play out in crappy graphics (marriage, job, kids)...It'll be super simplistic looking and not many inputs.

See how it goes, good luck everyone.

Every Step of My Heart, completed

Play on Android devices and PC!

Keep your player alive by pressing the heart button every 10 seconds and interacting with the world around you. The player moves by himself and the whole game only lasts around 5 minutes if you can beat it. Start as a baby and stay alive throughout childhood to being a senior! If you do this you’ll be able to decide life choices such as jobs and marriage.

Didn’t get to enter the normal contest, but glad to have finished something. If anyone is interested in working together or something in future jams let me know, it was tough doing everything alone (as I am sure you all know lol).

Thanks everyone!

Get some more eyes on this....

Time sure does fly.

Press the heart button every ten seconds to keep him alive, grow from a baby to senior and make life choices such as job and marriage. Game is literally only 5-ish minutes long and for Android and PC devices.

I know voting and everything is over, I just wanted people to try it if they hadn't seen it yet.

Thanks, till next time.

Looking for 2D Animator and Musician For My Team

Heeeello, I am looking for someone that wants to join me or that I can join. I need someone for 2D sprites/animation and someone to do music/sounds. I want to be the lead on the project but if no ones I can work without me being the lead.

I can do the coding. I use Unity, C#, and Multimedia Fusion for prototyping. I do family-friendly and 2D games. My programming is above beginner but below intermediate I'd say, but I finish what I start.

I've taken the whole 3 days off work and want to win this jam! If you want to see my style of work check out my last Jam game annnd...

30 Days With Thiiis Guy

Here's my work after a day as well...Take care of a plant. The tomato graphic is a free use asset...will hopefully change before finishing.

Best size for WebGL

Hello, I am trying to get my game to play on the browser here but I have it by 9:16 ratio to match cell phones. This is causing my game to be too big and wants the user to scroll up and down the page to see the whole game.

Sorry to ask if this is a common question, but what resolution pixel-wise should I do so it's playable here? I need to maintain something close to the 9:16 ratio.

Play for Play...30 Days With Thiiis Guy

Hello, want to see what people thought about my game. I'll play yours if you play mine, I'll play yours this coming weekend!

Take care of a voice-acted (real audio) tomato plant for 30 days then harvest him. He says smart-alloc things...

Thanks

I got 20 votes, thanks

I got 20 votes finally, this was my first Jam entry and I'm excited to see what scores I got...and the harsh reality of it not being high as I hoped haha.

If interested check out my game about a wise-cracking talking Tomato plant that you take care of for 30 days... https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/30-days-with-thiiis-guy

Pretty fun community this event has, good luck everyone.

[SOLVED] Unity HELP with rotation values

Hi, I'm sorry to post here but I've been getting an error for 6 hours and need help from someone with Unity/C#. I'm trying to copy the rotation values of one object to another via script and instead of copying the value "10" it copies over something like, "0.0124". This appears to be a known error with Unity relating to when an object is a child and copying a value to the child, HOWEVER I CANNOT remove the child from the parent since it's the main part of my games gimmick.

This forum talks about the issue...

https://forum.unity.com/threads/duplicating-gameobjects-produces-slightly-different-transform.272908/

The forum has a work-around that copies information right from the editor and this allowed by game to work but it's not a solution since you can't access the editors values when you compile a game.

Shot in the dark, but if anyone has experienced this or has a solution please let me know. I have lost 6 hours to this and fear I won't finish a game :(

Thanks.

Space Alien Cow Milk, don't spill the milk delivery

Space Alien Cow Milk. My game is about floating bottles of milk where the bottle and liquid move independently, so you need to make sure the milk doesn't spill before it gets delivered. Small story with cutscene and 6 levels in all with an ending. Graphics are AWFUL but hopefully gameplay is ok.

Probably last time posting this...

Space Alien Cow Milk: Awful graphics but hopefully polished elsewhere.

Keep the delivery full and safe. Slide the bottles LEFT AND RIGHT, don't rotate.

Theme Theme

Order.png

So the next theme should be "Digestion", seems like the themes are telling a story.

My picks...

Themes.png

I think Weather could be cool, but Recycle has alot of different ways to be looked so that's what I want to win. Hope we get a good theme regardless!

Locks and Keys

I fear this one the most honestly, I think people were upset about Harvest and Delivery being too similar. Maybe I'm not thinking enough on it, but I feel like it's super restricting. You need 2 things and they're both plural with "s" at the end lol. But I keep seeing people upvoting it, hope it doesn't happen but we'll see. I also feel similar about "Keep the light on", games might be too similar.

Looks Just Awful

My progress, it will look slightly better in the end...I'm an adult I swear, not a 10 year old child.
