Hello, all. I am as noob as a n00b can be. I decided rather late to join the LD craze, and am trying to grasp everything before the compo begins.

I can’t program and have never made a game before. I hope I’ll be able to complete something, at least.

I’ll be using Stencyl (I think it’s allowed, right?!). I’m just confused about whether I can use stencylforge, which is the open library of code and assets from the Stencyl community. Can I use and tweak sound/graphics/code from there or not? Any help is appreciated.

Had my first idea 10 minutes in. Tried to see if I could come up with anything else, but think I’m sticking with it.

I’m afraid everyone else is gonna do the same thing! Should I avoid pixels?!?! Gah!

As much as life keeps pushing me away from game development, the one thing that never fails to pull me back is Ludum Dare.

And so here I am.

Last LD’s timing was really unfortunate for me, as I was in the middle of a project with a very tight deadline. I was not even able to play a single game, but I still managed to take part and submit a little something. This time I hope to actually be around for voting, but I can’t promise anything as I just arrived in Brazil for my first vacation in years.

I’m still aiming to make the switch to full-time developer soon, and that dream exists thanks to the LD community. Even if I can’t always be as active as I’d like, coming here every few months is a tremendous joy and something that I hold very dearly.

For now all I can hope for is to have dangerous amounts of fun (/stress) joining you all for another insane weekend.
