Unfortunately due to time I only had time to plan, must sleep now. Fully ready to start programming tomorrow! In this game there is an (unnamed atm) friendly char whom you need to protect until he asexually reproduces X amount of times ( You only start out with one though! somewhat theme related ). In order for him to populate an island on its own.
The player must protect this creature by fending off waves of enemies that will rush the island to kill the mob. If you survive a round, the friendlies give off their essence to you ( game currency ) then they split apart into two. You can use that essence to purchase a new weapon / maybe abilities. BUT you can ONLY HAVE ONE weapon in your inventory at a time. -giving up your old weapon for a new one.
Wish me luck.

startup of game complete, all character / mob sprites down/ awesome map is awesome and loaded. A lot of framework done and ready for tomorow. unfortunately I might not have enough time for sound… Quick question if anyone can answer, do we need to submit it before the timer ends? or can the game be submitted within a time frame after the timer ends?
I actually completed my first compo and it was a lot of fun! And on a theme I didn’t think I would be able to make something out of.
What went good:
– The basic mechanics that i though i would have trouble making went smoothly.
-Artwork came out looking very nice
-I enjoy the level of challenge the game has
What went wrong:
-No sound (no time)
– A couple of rending bugs, don’t effect game just doesn’t look correct
-wanted to add ranged weapons, but didn’t have time to
-My game’s instructions need to be made a little clearer.
Next Time:
-I need to make time to do sound. And start a little earlier then I did.
In Quam Protector you have to protect the last of the Quamquams so that they can repopulate their island. They are being attacked but he evil Abaddons. Current record for beating the game is in 13 rounds.
Here is a link, good luck and have fun!

I know it’s kinda late after the fact but I only compiled my game for Windows, and I recently found out how to compile my game for Linux and and OS X. No game code has been changed is it too late for me to recompile for those OS’s and post links to download on my submission page? Thanks
