ok, still working on my obeying all 20 rules game. I got the core game mechanic working: a melting snowman!

If you are wondering, why there is a snowman and a door, check out this post:

Obeying all the rules

Hi guys, I decided quite late that I want to give this game a try. To be honest I hated the topic and didn’t want to join in the beginning, but after staring at the list of theme voting round 5 for a while I realized, that the themes kind of fit together perfectly. I do not know if that has been done before, but I will try to obey all 20 rules from the final round of theme voting. here is a quick outline of my game:

You are a snowman in deep space trapped in a space station that is falling apart, that is controlled by an artificial lifeform and moves machines around. you have to go to certain points to open the airlock that was where you started and avoid the sunlight shining in to not melt. also as it is in deep space you can’t stop as there is no friction. you press colorful buttons to make the machine life change its ai behaviour so in a way you are playing both sides. the levels are randomly generated. when dying you leave behind some water that casts shadows so you have more space to hide.

this is kind of an experiment and I am not sure if I can do it for the compo but I will try my best.

TOOLS:

Engine: Unity3D

Gfx: Blender, Photoshop

Sound/Music: 8Bit sound generator and my instrument collection

I wish you all a great jam and am looking forward to playing your games :)

That’s…. very ambitious. XD Very cool though, I hope you can pull it off because that’s a game that I would play the heck out of. Good luck!
