I will attempt to stream all night. I will be using unity and learning as I go, but it will be fun and games…or something like that. Anyways, tune in and watch me die on stream!

Well, if you saw my post yesterday about not being here for thew Compo, you will know I am making my game now, and will be submitting it via my phone while on vacation.

I have made a little bit of progress in the about hour and a half I worked last night. The game will be a FPS, with a twist, keep the enemy alive.

Firstly, the theme I am going with, pigs, has turned into monkey pigs:

I have also made a second model for walking, but I need to redo it.

The idea of the game is that you have pigs attacking you, but you need to keep them alive, as their genetically modified farts are the only source of oxygen when we have killed all flower and tree life.

The challenge of the game is that we all know that you can’t have monkey-pigs, without bandits to attack them, so you need to keep the pigs alive, while they are attacking you, while bandits are attacking them, if the game is finished.

I am going to start to work in unity now, to make the game mechanics and move towards the end of the todo list

I am in-big surprise there- and will be competing for my 3rd time I believe. This is my first time using Java for LD, although I believe I will be pretty good with it.

2. IDE – Eclipse
3. Art – Paint.net
4. Sound – SFXR(probably)
5. Music – no idea, may not be music, maybe use audacity and voice recording for something
6. Livestream – OBS
7. Timelapse…no idea

If you are still looking for a library to use right now, you are in some trouble. In the case that you are, here is the library I have been working on the past 24 hours. While it is not done yet, but I will be updating it as I make changes throughout the compo. The library is here and you can watch me continue to work on it and my game on my twitch stream.

The library is written in java and is meant to be a barebones handler of graphics and input, although it is not finished yet. Good luck  programming and may the odds be ever in your favor!
