LD30

I’m in!

I will be making a game for Ludum Dare 30!

Here are the tools that I will be using during the competition:

  • Language: JavaScript and HTML5
  • Game Engine: Phaser
  • Graphics: Gimp or Blender(if 3d)
  • Audio: BFXR and FL Studio Groove and  Audacity(if needed)
  • Streaming: OBS
  • Text Editor: Sublime Text 3

I’m using Phaser because I really want to focus on the game design and the assets of the game since Phaser is a really fast and simple game engine

I will also be streaming on my Twitch channel and I will also make a timelapse on my YouTube channel.

You can also follow me on Twitter to be notified when I will be starting the livestream on twitch(I will tweet updates ).

Cannot wait until the begining of the Ludum Dare 30!

I’m using Phaser as well, it’s a pretty good framework and it can be surprisingly powerful.

I’m in (for school?)

I’m in for Ludum Dare 31, for school purposes!

I must participate in the jam competition so I must find a programmer with a lot of experience in game programming (it’s for a traineeship).

Here are the tools that I will be using:

I’m also thinking about streaming and/or making a timelapse for my YouTube channel :)

I hope I’ll find another programmer because this is really important for my school project!

Otherwise, if you are interested in participating in my team, feel free to comment this post, I’ll give you a way to contact me :)

Good luck to everyone participating 😀

What is your project about? What is your skill level? what is your time zone? anyway I am an experienced game programmer with unity and c#, and I am looking for a team.

I’m in (for school?) (repost)

(This is a repost, because I absolutely need to find another programmer and because the first post wasn’t clear enough I suppose)

I’m in for Ludum Dare 31, for school purposes!

I must participate in the jam competition so I must find a programmer with a lot of experience in game programming (it’s for an internship).

My school project is really simple. Well, my teacher wanted us to explore the job we want to do later, since I want to be game programmer, and there was no game companies in Montreal that would offer an internship for one day, I decided to do the Ludum Dare, and she let me do the Ludum Dare, as long as I find another programmer which has more experience than me. For my experience with programming, I’ve been doing it for 1 year and a half, it’s not much, but I learn fast. This would be my third Ludum Dare, So yeah. The language that I’m the most comfortable with is JavaScript, so that’s why I would do this one with the Phaser game framework, but for this one I want to try something new. I’m gonna try to do it in TypeScript or with Unity, depending on theme, or I will program in the language the programmer uses. So yeah, I hope I will find a programmer, and if you are not a programmer, you are still welcome :)

You might try posting here a request for help too:

I saw you mentioned that no companies would give you a one day internship, but did you approach it as an internship where you would need to actually work for the company (which is not likely) or as a job shadow where you would sit down with a person in the job and observe and question them about their job.

Some progress being made :D

This is my progress so far 😀

The music wasn’t supposed to be in the video, but it makes it more epic

I’m in!

This will be my third game jam I do and for this one, I want to try something new. Before this one, I was always using JavaScript to make my games, but for this one, I’m gonna use Haxe.

To be more specific, here’s the list of the tools I’m gonna be using:

So, that’s pretty much it, happy jamming!
