Ludum Dare 48

In, finally going to make a roguelike.

Friends may join or not, time will tell. I've always wanted to make a roguelike, I'll be using unity. I know roguelikes are probably not the best choice for an LD project but I'm sure I'll have fun making it, stay awesome everyone =)

edit: I implemented all the mechanics, which was a breeze once I was done wrestling with windows and unity, unfortunately my motivation fizzled out after this and I spent my time creating other things. Still worth it.

Ludum Dare 55

10th LD (attempt)

Going to start by getting a good nights sleep. See you on the other side everyone =)

LD 21,30,35,37,38,40,45,46,50, and for the tenth one, 55. (unless I missed one).

It's been 10 years... and the community is going strong <3

Only dirty summoners draw on the floor

Notice the table.

5 hours in, having a blast, learned about camera stacking, post-processing, particles, and mostly failed at shader graphs. Lunch and a walk, then prepare yourselves for some creative gameplay which doesn't require graph theory (I may only have one day) =)

edit: ideas on improving the graphics easily welcome haha

Make the little summoner thingies happy...

... by giving them the perfect number of friends yay! It is now possible to win by making all the evil summoning units (need a better name) happy =)

Drew my first sprite sheet ever with piskel, made my first sprite animator, and learned about textMeshPro and screen space. It is now technically a game, next up are some levels.

If I get time tomorrow I want to go for sound, improved graphics, a small plot, and more complex things the little buggers ask for ;)

Happy Little Demons is Done =)

There are 7 levels, see if you can make them all happy =)

14 hour sprint, 10th year, 10th submission of mine (I see I'm the 12th submitter for Compo), thank you to this amazing community time and time again, really looking forward to playing all the fun games and hang in there everyone <3

In the third session I learned about fonts, tried to tween bloom with a nice library but failed and DIY'd it, and discovered some fun particle patterns =)

Things I want to do still on this project (given time or whenever): - give the demons more complex conditions (like a colored graph or divided summoning circle) - cute noises (and some bg music) - Work in a fun plot I have in the back of my mind - improve the graphics (play around with fun effects) - polish the game loop
