Ludum Dare 50

LD50 done, and we started a snake worshipping cult.

In Sacrificium, bathing in the blood of virgins is rumoured to delay your inevitable death. As the sacrifice, you aren't interested in finding out if this rumour is true or not and are more interested in escape.

We didn't intend to make a game about sacrifice. We tried to get away from it. So much so, that became the concept of the game. We also didn't intend to start a cult that worships a big snake god. But these things just happen, right?

This is our third Ludum Dare working together, and I'm very happy with how everything turned out. I got more sleep than usual, and pumped out a few cool features that I already have plans to refactor to make adding to the game easier. But that was placed squarely on the "We don't have time for this" list and that's probably why the game works as well as it does. Kyle barely had to work at all, given how much he loves making music and noise. Chanting, metal, and explosions all made at home. I didn't ask what he blew up. Blurde, the artist of the team, worked incredibly hard to produce all the assets required for this exploration and interaction based game.
