Welcome! Many people liked the graphics in our game. So I want to tell you a little bit about the creation process! A little about me: My name is Sonya, I am 23 years old, I am a freelance artist and this is my 7th gamejam :)

How to make a unique style for the game?

Nothing new exists ;) The new is a combination of the old and a look at things from an unusual angle.

I wanted to combine careless cute children's illustrations and creepiness. Yes, the resulting style turned out to be similar to other projects. For example: on "Don't starve". But, considering that nothing new exists, I am calm :D

Me and neatness are two opposites haha! Therefore, I make objects so that they can be with strokes and torn, both inside and along the edges of the object.

The effect of carelessness is enhanced by a brush imitating a pencil. But!But! But! In places, this brush is uncontrollable and madly irritated me. However, the result was worth it. Chaos cannot be ordered ;)

While I was writing this text, this brush annoyed me a little more :D

I also made strokes close to the main colors in places where I wanted to lighten the subject, shade or add dirt.

Can we talk a little about concept art?

I usually love doing multiple versions of EVERYTHING in a ROW. And approve them with colleagues and clients :) But the time was only 72 hours. My main goal is to get enough sleep and have fun. Don 't turn into sand and crawl under the carpet after jam :о

Moreover, I have an accurate vision of the project! I made one fake screen. Approved it with the team. And ... went to conceptualize the main character. For me, the main character is the main part in the game. That's why I wanted to make it as cool as possible!
