Finally, I had an idea
I'll make a tower defense game to match this theme...boring to the end.

I'll make a tower defense game to match this theme...boring to the end.

🫥
An hour has passed. I'm planning to start with a 3D little game.
It is a bit challenging for me that starting from scratch.
I'm not sure if I can keep working for 48 consecutive hours. So I plan to post some updates every hour. Maybe I won't be able to continue developing tomorrow. But I hope this little game can be playable.
I Imagined the gameplay and it seems like a 3D version of Downwell. Will this version be fun?
The camera control currently looks like needs more adjustment, and the character don't have any ability to move in the air. I'll share my findings next time to solve this problem.

The control of camera has become more comfortable now. Just make some adjustments to the camera parameters. And the character moves in the direction it is looking at now.
Next, I want to enable the character to jump downwards infinitely through the platforms and record the depth at which the player dives in.
eaten a cup of instant noodles, I regained 50% of my hunger points. Mao Laoshi ordered takeout from the community cafeteria. I felt a little bit jealous.

I can't figure it out why a 3D version of Downwell was needed, so I made some insignificant adjustments.
Maybe next hour I can figure it out🤔

A INVISIBLE SHOTGUN was given to the character to help slow down his fall. There's a good chance that enemies might show up(who knows). Becoming more and more similar.
next hour must be spend on making enemies, or replacing this capsule guy with a real character.
I have completely forgotten the "playable" goals.
I was thinking of using a frog as the main character, so I found a tutorial about Blender. Just put it here: (https://youtu.be/NN4xM3dQKtg).
it looks like this:

I have never used Blender to create assets before. Therefore, after completing the frog, I spent another hour exporting it and then fixing all kinds of problems of importing it into Unity.
But It seems fine now.

I'm a bit tired and don't feel very capable of hard working, so I made a silly intro:

Some Simple Coding work has been done to support the endless mode. But after sleeping for 5 hours, I have little time left, about 3 or 4 hours from now. Because I promised Mao Laoshi that we would do something together on the last day of the holiday. So for this time LD57, I'm going to treat it as a 24-hour Compo to produce.
So In this super little game I made first time in LD, perhaps there wasn't any complexity gameplay.
Wait, Wait a moment. Did I say it too early? There are still several hours left!

almost there.
I'm back. I went swimming with Mao Laoshi and drove around the neighborhood, enjoying the breeze and singing in the car(It reminds me of the bragging I did back in college. Hahaha!). Now I'm back and will continue to finish the remaining part.

I'm not sure if it can run normally, so I uploaded the Mac version.
Hi! There😛.
This is my first time attending LD and I haven't quite figured out the rules yet, just seeing “do everything by myself within 48 hours”. So I sacrificed my interpretation of the theme and instead spent my time starting with Unity, create the frog with Blender, and sfx with Audacity. I picked up the guitar and use the voice as sound. Really having a great time!
So I realized that starting is really important! So please control the frog and pick up this gun, or I had no idea I'd be missing out on such a fun experience.

There were a lot of difficulties, but it was really nice to finally get the game out there and have someone finish the humble stuff that I made.

Thanks a lot! So may I get more playing & rating here.
