As my first ludum Dare, it was a great experience, seeing the feedback almost in real time, seeing streamers play my game and enjoy it and play other people games was really fun.

FINAL UPDATE TO MY GAME. DANGER ZONE: THE BALANCED UPDATE

It is time for the final major update for this version of Danger Zone! It was fun while lasted, but don't think this was the last of the Danger Zone game, for I plan to expand the main game to another project, but I won't say much now.

For now, here are the patch notes for the final version of Danger Zone.

  • *New UI for selecting prefered keyboard style. Be it WASD or IJKL.*
  • *New UI for muting all sound of the game, in the title screen.*
  • *High-Score is now saved after closing the game.*
  • *All UI during gameplay in concentrated on the top of the screen.*

  • *Reinforcement Units damage got decreased from 40% to 25% of the current Main Unit damage.*

  • *New Upgrade for gaining more units. Player max units in the begining of the game reduced from 10 to 8. New max went from 10 to 12.*
  • *Damage Upgrades got increased to a 0.25 damage increase.*
  • *Cooldown Upgrades got increased to a 20% decrease of the current cooldown.*
  • *Zones capture time got decreased from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.*
  • *Now if you have maxed units, Units Zones will be replaced by Upgrade or Tree Zones.*
  • *Warning for the quota got remade to be more especific.*

I really hope that with these changes skilled and non-skilled players will be able to keep track of their evolution and go further into harder threat levels when playing the game. That's it and I'll see you in the other side.

VERSION 1.4.1 IS OUT - Hotfix

Version 1.4.1 is out! Worked up some balancing issues with the gameplay loop along with fixing some bugs found with gameplays of the game.

Here are the Patch Notes:]

  • BUG FIX! Early Hours - Fixed a bug that allowed players to get Upgrade Zones during easy difficulty.
  • BALANCED! Reinforce - Minions damage fot reduced from 25% of base damage to 20%. -BALANCED! SMG - Initial cooldown between shots changed from 30 frames to 45 frames. Furthermore, Attack Speed upgrades got nerfed from decreasing 10% of the current cooldown to 5%.
  • BALANCED! Power! - All upgrades now got a value to not completely overpower the player. The values are DMG: 3 - ATKSPD: 30 Frames - MAXREINF: 12 units.
  • NEW! Pause Screen - Now during gameplay you can press ESC to give the action a halt, and the come back to it without repercutions.

I hope these changes don't change too much how people play my game. These were just some minor fixes I thought they were needed to keep the game stable and fun!
