it's not quite "first playable in the first 12 hours" but after 8 hours of thinking and mulling and brain designing, here's my sketch before bed: There shall be no explanations.

Woke up, nervous as hell, gonna write down my lil jam to-do list to help me think straight and get stuffs done:

1. Convert my thumbnail sketch into a proper mock screenshot
   • Use mock screenshot to find canvas size and resolution for my game
   • Dissect the elements of the mock screenshot to use as placeholder art
2. Use placeholder art to code the game
   • Create additional placeholder art as necessary
   • LOOK UP: Rotating things in Godot
3. Create sound effects
4. First draft music
5. Refine art assets
   • Maybe add opening "cutscene" comic
6. Refine music
7. Refine game feel :tm:

but it's got (bad) music, and a full game loop, and you can play it here! all it's missing outside of extra content is Polish TM: sound effects, music that isn't bad, probably balancing? i did my best to balance as i went lmao if i can't get anything else done, I can at least spend the week prettying up the submission & itch.io pages lol

bg music is still Awful but is now quiet and only plays during the level, avoiding godot's terrible menu music glitch for autoload singletons lol
