Progress! But it’s been slow going! I might have taken a couple of hours to fix a pretty simple bug …

Still! I have everything set up so that you can follow along as I update!

At least I hope so! I have gameplay mostly nailed down, just need to implement the shapeshifting mechanic and balance the difficulty. Currently, it’s not really a challenge at all, and I think the shapeshifting will only make it easier! Hah!

I’m thinking of adding collectables to introduce a point beyond surviving.

So, we’re half-way through the compo. I’m really happy with my progress at the moment. The game is mechanically … done! There’s maybe some fine-tuning to do, but everything that needs to be in place is there!

Tomorrow I will be adding sound and music (Brace yourselves for an absolute cacophony!). If I have any time left over, I’ll be adding as much extra juice as I can squeeze out of these cucumbers!

Overslept a touch … but still managed to get some good work done this morning. I’ve added sound effects, so the game is a bit more lively. They’re all edited metal samples – something a little bit different. Take a peek!

I’m heading off to work now, but I’ll be back this evening to add music, and hopefully juice it up a little!

I probably should have thought about a better name than Shapeshift … as it happens it turns up rather a lot if you search for it. So I suggest searching for “cucumber” instead!
