LD 43

I'll try to be in!

This would be my first LD, I'm hoping I'll be able to make it, and that I will be able to finish the game in the allotted time. I'll be using LibGDX (Java) for desktop, and a couple of publicly available libraries I've been working on. In addition - Gimp for creating some basic graphics (I'm really bad at it), but I hope to do some shader magic to improve the look of the game.

My suggestions: - Player in a flux - Big guns! - Travel the world

Brainstorming themes

I went ahead and looked through the final themes, and went ahead and wrote down at least one game idea for each. And I have to say that some are much easier to come up with a cool game/mechanics, and some are much more complicated.

My biggest struggles were: - Take one, leave one (very American theme, as I have not heard this phrase anywhere else) - One item, many uses - Sacrifices must be made - Break the cycle

The ones I had best fun coming up with ideas: - Magic, but at what cost? - Control the environment, not the player - Each play through builds on last - It only changes when you aren't looking

What are your thoughts, any themes you struggle with or enjoy?

Bit over 8 hours to go

With a bit over 8 hours to go, still have to finish some mechanics (including AI), add more content and do more testing, but - menu, some game play and music is finished. I present game - "MOOOM!"
