Here’s the first screenshot of my entry!

Not the greatest quality sorry!

The point of the game is to connect all of the planets in order using your spaceship without running out of fuel and oxygen. When you make it to a planet the small green arrow (as seen in the screenshot) appears and rotates around the planet you tap or click to send your ship off in the direction that the arrow was pointing. The amount of moons the planet has is the indicator for the order (I.E. one moon is the first planet, 2 moons is the second, etc, etc). The green blocks (art is placeholder) act as barriers that bounce the ship back. Features will be added every set number of levels (5-10) such as; enemies, gravity wells, barriers that disappear after being hit, etc.

Having fun with this idea and enjoying the jam! I hope everyone else is too!

More art and stuff

Four planet sprites done, still not done the ship and those blocks are still place holder but still 4 out of 8 planets done with orbiting moons and rotation are in, the shade also stays where it is rather than move with the planets rotation. Just gotta finish those planets, the ship and those blocks then I can start/finish the ui. Once that’s all done then its onto level design (already have the first set planned out!)

Video of progress

I’ve made a video of the progress so far that you can find here.

The ship and green blocks are still place-holders, the fuel gauge goes down when you aren’t on a planet(takes a while so I couldn’t really put it in the video), now to add the oxygen and score meters. Before I got to bed I’m going to finish the GUI and the ship and green blocks.
