Let me give it a try!

This will be my first official Ludum Dare! I have made many games before, but I have never been rushed so let’s see how well I can do in 48 hours (fingers crossed I don’t work)

Tools:

Language: Java

Framework: Scratch!

IDE: Eclipse (Of course..)

Graphics: Paint.net

Audio:  Free stuff I find :(

Version Control: GitHub

I assume, you mean ‘from scratch” and not ‘I use the scratch framework’ :)

Having no frameworks is very hardcore.

Basic game is done!

LD

Finished the base of my game, now to add content and other fun things like particles! (And lots of Sprites :O )

Check out my first Ludum Dare game! (And platformer!)

You can kind of tell this was my first platformer as the collision detection is not perfect. This was my first Ludum Dare game and I only had like 12-15 hours tops to work on the game as I was busy this weekend, and I didn’t make a Java game framework for myself so I had to do it during the 12-15 hours. I did not finish the ending (after the 3rd level), I was planning on doing a you win screen with statistics about how you did and such, but I never had the time to do it 😛

Anyways I learned a lot and I had a really fun time :)

Pretty good for first try :) But those collisions are really reeeeaaallly horrible. Anyway, good job. It reminded me Ninja Cat on NES :)
