Prepare yourself! Spacebrawl is coming!

Tale of a smuggler and his sacrifice! Check out our game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/spacebrawl

Not so long ago, in a galaxy that isn’t so far away a smuggler lived. He stole a cargo from really wrong people. And now, to get away from the chase, he will have to sacrifice the most valuable thing he has - his spaceship.

You can play by yourself here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/spacebrawl

Disassemble useless parts of the ship into matter to shoot enemy spaceships and restore gaps in hull of the spacecraft. Turrets have limited range! If you can’t hit an enemy try another turret!

Returning to the LD Jam from I guess 6 years of absence since last entry! Glad LD58 will happen!

Since most of our team has experience working primarily with Unreal Engine, we decided to use it for the game jam as well. Based on this, we have concerns about the size of the build. We will try to keep it as small as possible, but we would also like to hear your opinion.
What size build would you be willing to download and play? Please write in the comments! Thank you in advance!

Hola! I am happy to report that we did not abandon the game jam right after the theme was announced, as has happened to me many times before :(
Overnight, we came up with a concept for what we would do, set up the infrastructure, and now, fueled by tea and coffee, we have begun designing and developing.
Code word: gnomes. Stay tuned for updates!
Sketch of the pitch attached.

This world is doomed...

Making sketches searching for a game icon, guess we're find our choice!
Pencil and paper process still feels like an "honest work" when comparing to the one-click AI generated solution...

The first day of the game jam is now over, so it's time to tell you a little bit about our game.
Here in the screenshot, you can see the quiet, peaceful town of Gnometon, where gnomes live in happiness, harmony, and TERRIBLE DEBTS. Your task as a COLLECTOR is to find the debtor gnome among the hundreds of Gnometon residents using the information provided to you and collect the debt from him.
With each new debtor, the difficulty increases from an accurate portrait to an abstract description.
For the gnomes, we are creating our own unique modular meshes, heavily inspired by Gravity Falls, but for the environment, we are using ready-made assets, so we will be opting out of Graphics.
Day 2 has begun, time to get to work. Good luck, guys!

Guys! Gnomes! Please behave!
(they never listen)

(sure he does)

We progressed so far, and managed to stay sane, healthy and even hydrated!
Best wishes to everyone still working today!

(Or how I feel after barely couple hours of sleep)

Run out of energy fuel :(
