My first LD48, and it was fun. Here is a shot of the title screen:

Wow that is a lot taller than I thought it would be…. So anyways, here is a quick recap.
- Come up with insanely overcomplicated idea as usual
- Get half way through saturday coding like an insane person
- Try and explain the game to someone after having zero human interaction for over 16 hours
- Look at the lack of understanding and interest coupled with dismay on their face
- Go back to the drawing board, come out with something 100x simpler
What went right:
The tools/libraries I chose are solid gold, and I stand by the tools and give praise to their makers:
What went wrong
Started with overly complex idea involving balancing the hosts health via natural selection and random mutations.
I always do this.
I can’t think of simple mechanics.
I always come up with something that looks like Wiley Coyote planned out on a cave wall.
Also I ate too much candy.
Luckily I found a way to simplify the game play and actually I think the game came out overall very fun
