This is kind of my first ludum dare, I did make a game for the last one, but I was busy, so I never managed to finish the game, but this time my schedule should be all clear.

What I’ll definitely be using:

  • Fusion 2.5 [Engine]
  • PyxelEdit [Graphics]
  • SFXR [Sound]

Unsure whether my game fits the theme

I’m making a story-ish game, and the main character is the shapeshifter, but he doesn’t really SHAPEshift, he just changes color, I could easily change the sprites I have right now, making him actually change his shape, but I kinda like the feel it has right now.

Does this fit the theme, or should I have different shapes for the forms too?

Just do your thing, the point of the theme is to get people to actually think of something, which isn’t your issue.

If you care about your scoring, I’d say make the character change shapes as well. After all, the theme is SHAPE-shifting… If you’re just doing this for fun, there isn’t a reason not to stick to your original plan.
