I'm In (for the fifth time)
My fifth Ludum Dare but that's not stopping me. I made one game for ludum dare I am truly proud of, and I hope by the end of the weekend it will be two.
I will be using: - Unity (Even though i usually use Java...) [as ENGINE] [NEW] - C# (Obviously) [as LANGUAGE] [NEW] - Paint.net [for ART] - SFXR & Audacity [for SOUND FX] - LMMS [for MUSIC]
- Pen & Paper [for Idea Generating] [NEW]
- Sticky Notes [for Planning & Keeping Track of Progress] [NEW]
Notes:
So i haven't actually finished any games in Unity but i think i will be fine since i know how it works. And C# is just like Java and i have used it before.
I found that for getting great sound fx i use SFXR and combining o' lot of sounds in Audacity, and it sounds really great.
So i usually just quickly get an idea or two and i do that but i think this time i am really gonna think about what i will be making. By instead of just coming up width something, i will start width mechanics alone based on the theme. And then come up width the narrative.
And keeping track of what you need to get done i crucial for making a great game. And my plan is getting the basics of the game and it being playable the first day and then, everything else like art, sounds, music and play-testing.
