Creating The Pictures

My Ludum Dare 40 game Shape Invasion has a logo that looks like this: Shape Invasion.png

and the game's entry page has this picture: FINALLY.png

This post is supposed to show all of you the creation of these images, from what they ORIGINALLY looked like, to their final versions. As I thought that I should show you all what happened. So let's go through the buildup from start to finish.

THE LOGO

I originally started drawing the logo in GIMP, as this: Invasion.png

I then traced the picture in Inkscape, making it look like this: bandicam 2017-12-02 19-39-59-627.jpg

I loaded this picture in GIMP, and I colored it, and included some shapes as well (and removing the black line at the top), this became the final image seen above.

ENTRY IMAGE

This was the most interesting (and tedious!!) picture to create. I opened up Blender and rendered this picture: 0005.png

I then traced it in Inkscape, like the logo, producing this (I also made Jake's head bigger than in the render): Eemage.jpg

I went back to Blender, rendering this: 0001.png

Traced it in Inkscape (with render): backeround.jpg

And without the render: dfgfdsgsdg.jpg

I then inserted the background into the image, and after painstakingly cleaning up the picture (getting rid of gray/white spots) I had this final picture: FINALLY.png

And that's it! That was a quick runthrough of how I made the logo and entry image. Hope you enjoyed this post :)
