Cartel by aldian
Cartel is a small TDS i made in the last 3 hours of Ludum Dare. My compo entry was corrupted and i had to redo everything(i was not happy, many cursewords were thrown at my pc). In the end i settled on a simple TDS which is both quick and fun. Programming the AI was fun and i enjoyed the time constraint to make something as quickly as i could. However this meant cutting back on things. The game lacks any form of music and their are only 2 towers to choose from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IcrxJ_hMiQ&list=RDMMmWZnxSqRbes&index=27 <----- this playlist will provide you with some music (what ive been listening to whilst programming). Although the simplicity of my game is quite strong im happy that it all worked in the end.
Incase you dont understand what to do.
E starts the game.
Place towers anywhere you want.
Each round starts after the last AI is dead.
You are awarded money for each AI killed.
Machine gunners have a short range but quicker fire rate and snipers have a longer range but shorter fire rate.

I can see an interessting work on the IA, place animation & modelisation, but without the ability to place my stuff, I had the feeling of a wait'n see game.
i played it for along time
