SeaMonster - escape to the deep ocean
This is my third ludum dare. Unfortunately I did not have all 48 hours this weekend, and a lot of planned stuff has been cut as a result.
== README FIRST ==
Please play this game with music! It sets the mood for the whole game. Maybe you are not the evil monster after all?
== THE GAME ==
The game is quite simple. You are the Monster - and you got to escape to the deep ocean (which is to the right). Many hunters and the army want to hunt you down, so you got to be strong to fight them.
Move around with the WASD keys. Press Control to dash for a short amount of time (you can dash every 5 seconds).
To gain health (and size), eat the enemies. Non-Dangerous enemies are small ships, surfers and cargo ships. Dangerous enemies are the others, which will try to shoot you :-)
To eat someone, swim beneath them and press SPACE.
For each hit, you'll lose a size. If you lost all of your size, you'll die.
== Quick Post Mortem ==
I really like the theme this time. Especially because you are the monster, not the evil/villain/bad person. A monster is an active entity. That's why I decided to go with the idea of a submerged monster which destroys everything. Well, at least that was the plan :-) It turned out to be much harder than I thought to get back into Unity when you did not use it for 6 months.
The real special moment was the music this time. I created the theme in 5 minutes and spent about an hour to enhance it. It turns the whole game upside down. Without the music, it is just an action game. With the melancholic slow sound, you start to feel with the monster. It just wants to go home...
Anyway, next time, I really should practice before LD, and not practice in the 48 hour period. And maybe, I get 48 hours next time without disruptions every few hours :-)
Thanks for playing and if you have any comments, feel free to write :-)

I think the monster should turn faster.
Best entry I've seen so far. Well done, keep it up!
Anyway, I quite like your entry.
I feel like the art assets could've used some work, but they get the job done.
Also, the game never gets challenging: I reached the end just as ships with guns started appearing.
Anyways, build on this and you could have something really cool
piano nice as well!
