MINISTRY BRIEFING ADDENDUM

Comrade Operator, If you are reading this, your workstation is functioning and you are still employed. Both conditions are temporary.

This document extends your initial briefing. Study it carefully. The signal system does not forgive improvisation.

CONTROL DIRECTIVES

Your authority is limited to traffic signals. This is sufficient. You will:

  • inspect the approved route of the Supreme Leader
  • monitor the city map and all registered locations
  • switch observation between districts as required

When necessary, you will override traffic signals directly.

Drag a signal token onto any intersection to enforce compliance.
Duration determines how long the signal remembers your authority.

Do not hesitate. Signals that hesitate are replaced. Operators that hesitate are also replaced.

SIGNAL PROTOCOL

Traffic signals are the only language the city understands.

  • Green signal — movement.
  • Red signal — obedience.
  • Yellow signal — hesitation, extended for your convenience.

Each signal token requires recovery time after use. The Supreme Leader does not. Plan your signal usage accordingly.

OPERATIONAL EXPECTATIONS

Each day consists of scheduled movements across the city.

The Supreme Leader will travel.
The route is approved.
The timing is expected.

Your task is to ensure that traffic signals align reality with expectation.

PERFORMANCE PERIOD

Your assignment spans five operational days.

Survive all five, and your performance will be evaluated.
Fail earlier, and your position will become available to a more suitable candidate.

The theme was played out interestingly) The graphics and sounds go well together) I didn't quite understand the final goal of the game, but maybe I'm just stupid.

The game is really cool, the mechanics are great, and the atmosphere and visuals are also fantastic. However, you end up doing the same thing over and over; it might be interesting to add random events that, for example, trigger a protest and block off entire streets, etc. It’s also a shame that you don’t get a chance to look at the roads and the city, since the game doesn’t have a pause function. But in any case, it’s a really good game, well done!

Very cool premise and execution. I like how many different parts there are to it and how they build the world. The gameplay never really clicked with me. Ironically it seemed like it was all about improvisation.

The theme going on was nice, sadly this game feels like trying to do too complex system if you were planning to have real traffic. I had no real feel that anything i did affect that much what happens in the game. I gues the optimal way to play is just keep rotating colors as needed. Since the icons are so small it was kinda hard to drag them fast.
I think the idea is really good and with some more feedback and feeling that your things do affect it would be a nice game. Maybe same idea in a smaller setting would work better with some different intersctions going on and more distinct layouts. Like designing the players feel like "oh i hate that intersection" etc.

Very well executed (just like my operator) game. Good humour to match this type of 'admin worker' game. Graphics and visuals were clear and it made sense how I had to interact with the lights. It did take a while for my left-side-of-the-road driving brain to turn off and realise the signals to look at were on the right (maybe a fun setting to add? :stuck_out_tongue:). I appreciated the pathfinding on the car, I was a little worried by the intro I would have to micro-manage the maps and route but the difficulty felt right for this. Same for the traffic and other drivers that were mentioned, not sure how that was calculated or if it was included. Overall very well done and I found it quite fun.

I realized that being a traffic light operator is clearly not my thing.

I really like the aesthetic, low fi, good palette, lots of humor. The actual gameplay wasn't my cup of tea, but it was very well executed and cohesive. Excellent work!

@vadoha5 @dzo @carterjbx @forsakenaginor @myokka @landosystems thanks for the feedback, comrades — your bonus social credits have been granted.

@ilya-kr @splix @jcomc sadly I had to cut any extra mechanics even at the concept stage due to time constraints, barely made it before the deadline

@zazzar good catch! Originally I planned to show regular cars too, but the screen was already too cluttered with traffic lights. So instead, road load is indicated by the lights on each segment — the darker they are, the more "virtual" cars are there. Unfortunately, this isn’t explained in the intro, which is already a bit too long for a one-shot tutorial

Great result, I'd say just a little too much text in the beginning, the gameplay is not that hard for that much of an explanation (context: I hate reading). Overall, I had a good time playing :)

The gameplay is engaging, though I was a bit lost after the introduction, perhaps overwhelmed by the text :D The game itself is great, the concept is brilliant, and it's VERY well done :)

The tutorial at the beginning feels overloaded, but the game looks like a genuinely complex system
