Infinite Dynasty by daidiimon

Welcome to Infinite Dynasty!

Play through the lifetime of a whole empire, living the cycles of dynasties and rebellion up until its demise or its supremacy!

Controls: Everything's point n' click with the Mouse

In this game, you'll lead a new empire to glory. As its overseer, all you want is for your citizens to reach utmost happiness. But, unfortunately, running an empire is kinda hard. You gotta think about food, enemies, investing, yada yada. Sometimes you mess this up and piss off the very citizens you care for so much. Sometimes they'll even go so far as to throw a rebellion.

But worry not, because in Infinite Dynasty, your will exceeds time. You'll guide this empire through every single one of its dynasties, either to utopia or to oblivion. Take the experience from the fallen dynasties to strive for the goal!

So create your own empire and see how its journey unfolds!

...Or just watch it die cuz we didn't have time to balance properly.

The idea is interesting, though not unique. To much I feel is random, and you never tell the player how to make people happy. I felt like I was at the mercy of RNGesus to make the people happy.

I love this game! Very satisfying mechanics. Usually strategy games in jams have a hard time being balanced out of the gate but this was great.

Nice one! You should commit to update it if not already planned, I could see myself play it later if I know it is somewhat balanced.
I was forced to use web navigator full screen mode to see everything.
Took some time to understand what was wrong when you get "invalid empire" error the first times but managed to figure it out.

I needed to restart once to really get going (i.e. read the tutorial again after I had played a bit), but I had fun! I don't know how it's infinite though since I won with the first dynasty on the second game :D

Really Cool Game!

just two things:
- Restarting does not work, since you keep your happiness, money, food (and probably soldiers, not sure) and the buttons on the right which disappear during the processing of the round don't appear again after the first round.
-On my Second Game I have won the game after just 75 Years. It might have been luck since I was directly above a resource tile and the enemies weren't right beside me.

Really looking forward to updates you might make.

Love it y'all! Little light on the tie in with the theme, but the game is fun! Took me a few restarts to hone a strategy that I liked, which you might want to balance around in the future. Territories don't need to be connected to the larger empire to yield their benefits, and since you can't place buildings next to or diagonal to other buildings, sacrificing the useless connectors in favor of a disjointed checkerboard empire seems like a winning bet. Might be solved with buildings requiring different shaped footprints?

5/5, Go Bears.

This is awesome! Felt kinda lost at first and made some ~~questionable~~ decisions, but got the hang of it really quickly. There's one bug I encountered a few times where on the second loop, the "management" UI would disappear and I couldn't figure out how to progress. Would love to see you guys take it even further! Some ideas I had - more map geometry (lakes, rivers, mountains), "smarter" random events (getting 10 soldiers on round one is kinda OP), seasons!

PS: "The citizens grow displeased for some reason, I can't think of anything" is actually golden.

10/10 gobears :bear:

Interesting idea and mechanic. I don't exactly know how it fits the theme maybe making the game continue even after you win, but I actually enjoyed playing it.

This is nice. I'll definitely want to play a more polished version of this game with more features. After restarting the game the menu disappears on the second year so I couldn't continue. I tried really hard to make sure my citizens aren't too happy so I could conquer the entire map.
