Post Mortem:
This was our first Ludum Dare ever and it was a blast! We started off clueless about what to make and missed the whole first day while we tried to come up with an idea. Then with some inspiration from a friend, this idea was born.
I, the programmer, started by making a blocked out level and worked on the mechanics, while the artist began work on the art assets. We both have some experience in blender so art was fairly quick. This allowed us to add a fair bit of detail into some of the models, in particular, the car. Pretty soon I had completed the driving mechanics and had a basic transformation system going for the items. It was then time to incorporate the art assets into the game. This was very exciting as we saw the game really come alive for the first time!
I actually found myself with a bit of spare time, so I decided to create a day-night cycle. I'm very proud of the result as good looking day-night cycles can be tricky in unity. And to top it off, I added some cricket and owl sound FX.
The hardest part was audio. Neither of us have any experience in game music or making sound effects. In the end we opted to use premade music for a different game of ours and 3rd party audio, in exchange for opting out of the audio voting category. But it was worth it because the audio experience is great!

@jeromwaarom Thank you very much! Yes it is a bit tricky to use, in future I'll have to polish it up a bit.
The game is hard, the best way is to move really really slow, but the sun tells you to go faster.
Even alone you did a good job for 72-hour jam. Nice!
Graphics were very nice as well!
Just wish the controls were better & I have the feeling the
game is a bit laggy?
@the-shadermaster Thank you very much! The performance will depend on your computer's specs, though I didn't have any time for optimization so its very likely that there's a bit of lag.
@sleepygrin Haha, maybe I'll make a tutorial one day!
-ALT + Click to move the camera felt un-intuitive, try making it so holding right click moves it
-The handles that you drag shouldn't rotate with the object, they should always point towards the positive direction on those axis
Other than that, fantastic game!
I guess a minor nitpick/bug is that when you stack objects, the collision between them is sometimes ignored, and suddenly when you begin they explode apart. Would be good if upon restarting you get them back to where they were previously placed as well. Great job!

Car was a little hard to controll, and putting the lugage in position felt a little tedious. But the graphic were stellar!! nice horn honk. 10/10 on the horn honk
For the luggage, i would suggest mapping controls to arrow keys (or wasd) and then giving the player an up/down button because this might be much easier to control than use mouse and dragging by vectors.
It was definitely worth player and super fun. :)
There are a lot of things that could be added in the future to improve the experience, like transit for starters.
But a great entry!
Just one comment regarding the audio I would tweak the volumes of the different sounds sources so they are all in ballance. Right now the crickets are very loud.
@jlreymendez Thank you for the kind words, very much appreciated! Yes audio could use some work, but that wasn't really a priority given the time frame, in the future we'll improve that.
the map isi very cool, it's a very good level design.
However think we could rotate around the car When we put object on it.
It's a very great Game.
Thanks for the kind words tho!
The control is a little bit slow, but i guess, this can be fixed easily. And you could add some friction to the car, so it will stop after a while.
You definitely put in a lot of work, I like it =)
Very cool concept, but I got beat by the controls. I find the controls a little bit weird and putting the bags on the car was too slow and wonky. But this is minor stuff and totally fixable. I hope you guys continue to work on it. You did a awesome job! And welcome to the LD! See ya next time!
The idea and execution is super good, and the graphics have a nice dreamlike suburbia feeling. It is really very polished with the edit and drive mode functioning perfectly. It is probably only let down by the fact that you quickly get a bit tired of having to do the edit part before retrying - it is just a bit slow to move everything one by one. I don't really know of a good solution to this thought...
Good work!
@randomhuman Thank you very much! Yes someone else mentioned right mouse button for the camera, its a good idea, I think i'll change it to that in the future!
Congratulations!
Anyway, good game! Good luck with future development!
